Anyone into the big dance? For me, this is one of my favorite weekends in sports of the year. In fact, I'm heading out of town to watch the Thurs-Sun games with a few friends who took the two weekdays off. Nothing but hoops for four days!

Sure beats the snot out of the NBA! You can really feel the excitement and intensity with the college game--with the pros, it's like everyone's asleep until some highlight reel play, then they go back into hibernation waiting for the next one.
 
IMO there is nothing better in sports than March Madness. So many teams, and any one of them can win. No one has it easy, and there are always good upsets, which makes each game exciting. Just look at what Butler did the last two years...my hometown went crazy during those runs. LET'S GO KENTUCKY!!!
 
I agree. Nothing else like it. This first weekend for me is better than the rest. This is the time where all the underdogs get a chance. By Saturday of of the 2nd week, most of the little guys get weeded out.

My Final Four is Kentucky, Missouri, FSU and North Carolina with UNC beating Missouri in the finals.
 
Anyone see the almost-hilarious Sporting News picks for the Elite Eight? They picked all the 1st and 2nd seeds, and tried to sound brilliant in the process. Wow, what daring...
 
The first and second rounds aren't that special in my opinion. After that it gets good though.

I was in Vegas two years ago while it was going on. Now that was insane. Every single game was on a TV within view.

Yeah, this year it's hard to pick outside of those top 8 teams. I don't think it's going to be like last year. Either way, I hate picking chalk.

Really? I think the complete opposite. Love watching the quantity and I think the quality of games is huge in the first couple of rounds. Sure, you have the number one's who always blow out the 16's, but the 5/12's always produce a great game and the 8/9''s, 7/10's and 6/11's too!
 
I am very interested in March Madness. Who is up for joining a t4r.org member bracket just for bragging rights? I could start a league on yahoo.

right on man...thanks for setting that up. I'll fill mine out tomorrow...hopefully no other stars get benched for the tourney after I fill mine out!
