Marlin Crawler bushings and socket?

The '86 runner I just bought has the loose shifter issue. I was looking around on the interwebs and found these: Heavy Duty Shift Lever Ball Seats | Marlin Crawler, Inc.

Has anyone installed these or heard if they work well?

Yes they work great. I just did mine because they were cheap not that I had any problem. When I dug into the shifter to replace them what did I find... there was a marlin bushing already in there! I replaced it anyways since I had it.

It's an easy project. The only part I puzzled on a little is when you get right down to the last collar holding the shifter in. You need to push down and turn 1/4 turn left. It's an hour job if you take your time.

The "old" new bushing was in fine shape. The feel of the stick might be a tiny bit tighter but I just want to think so because I did the work. Like I said... I didn't have a problem anyways but at 200K I figured I just replace it as preventive... but the PO beat me to it.

So I opened it up last night and took out the worn bushing and broken socket and put in the new Marlin Crawler parts. The updated socket and seat helped out a lot! I used to be able to make about a 4 inch circle with the shifter and now it's down to about 1 inch. Very happy with the upgrade/repair.
