mass air sensor

If you've ever taken your MAF sensor out to clean it then you'd know it's not very big.

IMO I wouldn't swap out the part.
The factory unit probably doesn't cause much air flow constriction in the first place; I don't see how this one would help.

I could buy something more useful with that $140...like a few tanks of gas.

:iagree: with Fumbler... Until you get into a CAI, headers, exhaust and a re-map of the ECM I doubt it'd do any good.

cj3flyr yea i was gonna wait till i get an intake im currently only running a throttle body spacer and a k&n drop in filter with the sulfer thing removed. but i figured even with an intake alone it should make a difference since it will be remapping the fuel to match the amount of air its getting.

fumbler that sensor has nothing to do with restricting air its actually the same size as the oem part, what it does do is monitor the air flowing past it weather its slower or fast and it makes adjustments to add fuel or take away fuel and i believe the mass air sensor is also tide in with the ignition system because after it makes its fuel adjustments it will be able to adjust your timing creating more power. granetelli is well known for their mass air flow sensors and ive used a few of them and they do work really good.
