Master cylinder/ booster question

Now that I have disc front and rear I need to address the lack of pressure at the rear. I have looked at 1998 T100 1 ton and 1997 Land Cruiser master cylinders. They both have an increase of bore size with no proportional valve but have a 4 bolt pattern. Our master cylinders have a 2 bolt pattern so no can do. Then I thought well I might as well use the matching booster and my problem is solved, but.


Has anyone used a booster from another vehicle in their 4runner?

OR

Does anyone know where I can get the bolt pattern dimensions of the Land Cruiser or T100 boosters?


I have a friend at our local dealership and he says the TIS system does not show the dimensions I need.

I also thought about going into my master cylinder and disable the proportional valve so I can get full pressure.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

I didn't realize what you did to have front and rear disc brakes and I gotta say I like what you did to your 4Runner a lot. If I find one like yours in the beginning I might be inclined to go your route but for rear disc brakes without swapping axles I found this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/106636-rear-disk-brake-conversion-pt-1-a.html and it looked simple enough and I could get these parts for cheap. Maybe this is a dumb idea, but could you make an adapter plate to go from 2 bolts to four and run the factory booster with the TLC or T100 master? You'd probably have to make a custom length push rod to make up the difference in the adapter plate, but that would be relatively simple.


***EDIT*** JFYI....I am swapping in an FJ80 front axle out of a '91 model. The MC bore size for an '91-97 FJ80 is 1". The 3rd Gen Runner uses a 1" bore MC from the factory. The '98 T100 1 Ton Non-ABS MC is 1 1/16"....so at least there's a bore increase to that.

JFYI....the guy in the Pirate thread also swapped a Tacoma 4 bolt booster to work with the T100 1 Ton MC. Not sure why he didn't just use a booster off the T100 too (maybe he couldn't find one...I tried Toyota Parts Online and it didn't have one available for the Non-ABS 1 ton....the 1/2 ton models were over $750!) Tried to get clarification on what year Taco booster he's using.

EDIT: This is a 4bolt to 2 bolt adapter and the 3rd gen 4runner MC's are 2 Bolt so this won't work unless you have a tacoma booster or 2nd gen runner booster etc..

Would the GM MC be okay to use on a rig running the TBU, looking for some more firmness in my pedal...

Their site says not recommended for stock Toyota axles?

Sure tundra brakes are bigger then 1ton axle brakes and then d44 brakes. I know for a fact toyota v6 caliper on Soild axle are alot smaller then 4runner. I think it should work out fine
