Thanks! Yeah I'm finishing out my 265 Nitto Terra grapplers and plan to got to at least 275. Honestly thinking about replacing the Moogs with some larger coils so I can fit 285s...more lift is addictive. Not sure about swapping the wheels, like my stock ones but maybe if I come across the right deal.

Lift amount doesn't help to fit larger tires, the suspension will always travel the same path. You will need to trim the same amount even if you lift it more, if you flex out the suspension on trails. I had 285s with basically stock height suspension, check the first few pages of my build thread. I needed to trim of course but they fit just fine.

After seeing this Tacoma and loving the lighting set up (but not wanting to have to drop the cash on a steel bumper) ended up getting some economical Blazer light bars (pair of 13"s) and built a custom bumper mount for them that is completely removable. With the four attachment points, it is very solid and after a coat of bedliner, it's held up extremely well. The light bars have held up great too, with no yellowing or leds failing (knock on wood). With the two lights rated at 8k lumens a pop and it being a flood/spot combo, getting a ton of light on the trails/campgrounds at night. Love how the Toyota badge is still visible and it fits in the body/grill lines as well as being totally flush with the bumper. Perfect, inexpensive and honestly just fun addition for all the camping I do.

Of course took her out camping to test everything and the whole set up did great. Picked up some Blazer 2" Floods and CBI Ditch light brackets as well. Retrofitted my blanks to hold the switches which I think looks pretty clean. Lastly, added a front aluminum USA plate to cover the steel brackets. Looks great and is super bright!

Added spidertrax...should have done this sooner. Rides more stable and the stance is amazing.

Also added a single 1.5" Daystar spacer on driver rear to correct for driver side lean. Measurements are perfect now.

Another cheap but really big payoff mod was adding DRLs. Something about the amber against the black and gray really looks menacing imo.

Question, I am starting to really consider a lift. I'm 100% sure I want to go with the Bilstein 5100 but I'm not sure what to do for the coils. How well do you consider your coils to be? Would it be okay to keep the stock coils and just add the Bilstein 5100s? Sorry if any of my questions sound dumb, I just started doing research on lifts. Also I will be using the truck offroad moderately and nothing too crazy, same kinda stuff you'd be doing. I also want something that would last a good bit. Thanks in advance!

Not a dumb question at all, lots of routes you can take. I would not stay with your stock coils. The Moog coils are actually pretty good given how inexpensive they are and in combination with the Bilsteins, the whole set up rides really well, looks pretty aggressive and was actually fairly inexpensive (around $450). It's one of the more popular options due to value relative to cost considering you don't end up with a full 3" of lift that would require new upper control arms and a diff drop (adding it all up, will take your build up to $1k). As far an longevity, I think the Moog/Bilstein combo would do just fine for quite a while and I'm very pleased with my set-up.

Added 8 waterproof LED rock lights (4 on existing XREAS tubing using Zip ties and drilled in 2 on bottom of the front and rear bumper. Whole set up cost me less than $100 and install took a few hours to get all the wiring and switch installed. Of course had to trail test it - great addition!

After getting side-swiped on the left side, replaced the driver-side, passenger door with a new one and nixed the pin stripping all around (think it looks cleaner). Planning on doing the driver door soon.

Also:
-Got new brakes on all 4 corners
-Had 2 slow leaks fixed (rear diff and front axle)
-New rubber floor mats
-Fixed the rear tailgate squeak
-A new set of Nitto TerraGrappler G2s (265/70/17) - loving the new meaty look.

Went exploring at a few parks today and captured a few glamor shots.

New Lift!

Decided to lift her more and loving it!

- Went OME 885s front + Toytec Superflex rear (inspired by Momo's build).
- Set the Bilstein 5100s at the 0 setting (per a lot of reading, its suggested that with the taller OME coils no preload should be set).
- Kept Daystar rear spacer for driver side lean.
- Still running stock UCAs.
- Upgraded to 33's (Nitto Terragrappler 285/70/17) which look and ride amazing! Slight rub at full lock in reverse but will mess with the fender liners to resolve.

Loving how it rides - even smoother due to removing the preload from the Bilsteins and with the bigger tires. Also love how tall it sits (about 6'3"). Rear is sitting a little higher than I'd like but talking with the shop, they think the rear will settle a bit more over the coming weeks once they break in. If not, may consider a top-plate spacer (but then probably will need new UCAs) or just keep her as is!

Since Georgia became a hands-free state, swapped out the older 6.2" JVC touchscreen with a 7" Pioneer AVH2300-NEX with Apple Carplay. Honestly a complete game changer -- with Siri voice control, this headunit does it all and I haven't had the need to pick up the phone at all, its just that good.

While up in Chattanooga, ended up pulling the trigger on a CVT Roof Top Tent! Rented the Mt. Shasta but ended up buying the Mt. Rainier due to the extra space. Highly recommend CVT - Thom exemplified the best customer service I think I've ever received and the tent is top-notch!

Having entirely way too much fun with this thing!

After getting home, took a few more glamour shots. The Mt. Rainier is the perfect size for the 4Runner. Surprised it how easy it is getting it on or off for being 150lbs, just a few bolts and a buddy, stores nicely on its side. In love with this set up so far.
