First oil/filter change after the engine swap at 2,500 miles in. Also did new plugs and wires, and cleaned the MAF. So far, so good. The oil looked very clean and I've had about a 3-4 mpg bump up since the engine swap.

Just an update, started my Satoshi Grill. I cut the grill, taped off the chrome and painted the inside with some primer. I'll leave it to cure till Thursday and then paint some black and hopefully have it finished up by this weekend.

So all of this happened today. Huge thanks to [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION] for the hook up with some Rigid Dually's. I got some of those and covers, which I need to pass my Virginia State Inspection every year. I'll hopefully be ordering a front bumper this Black Friday so my question becomes, should I wait and mount them in the bumper or order some CBI brackets.
In other news, I finally had time to finish up my Satoshi Grill. I'll include some better pictures when I go to mount it tomorrow morning, I'm just letting it cure overnight. Can't wait to get it on, a little rough around the edges but that was expected.
My old 4Runner (now my brothers) is due for inspection in January and I think it's tires will fail. If that's the case, I'll be giving him my 265/75/16 KO2's and upgrading to some 285/75/16's. I've done some research on the General Grabber AT2 and haven't seen anything negative about them. Reviews anyone?

I still need to attach the mesh to the grill outline but you can gauge how it'll look from this.

I didn't go the fiberglass route because I didn't want to mess anything up too badly. I've dealt with fiberglass before with surfboards and for a grill project, felt it was more than I needed.

The Grabbers are awesome, Ive used them in basically every terrain and I'm very happy with them. Also, they come in a D load which not all 285's do. Previously I had BFG all terrains and IMO these self clean better in mud and are much cheaper.

My biggest complaint about these are that they are rock catchers. Every time I go on anything close to rocks, all I hear is click click click in my tires. That and I really want a D rated 285. E rated are a little too stiff for my liking.

The Grabbers definitely throw rocks but not as bad as mud terrains Ive had, but my BFGs threw rocks too. But ya the D load is a big plus for the Grabbers

I'm doing it more for 33's than anything :becky:. This is officially the first time I've ever wanted tires to fail inspection. This is going to be an expensive rest of the yeah haha

Pulled the trigger on Tire Rack's $100 off every $400 and got me some 285/75/16 D General Grabber AT2's. They should be here this Monday, now just to find some time to get them installed.

Today I was able to get my Thule wind fairing on. It makes a huge difference while riding on the highway, so much more quiet.

With the huge amounts of help from @Sterbinlecht, we were able to finish up installing my new LC 8 wraps, 5100's, and rear break lines. This thing is super raked but I love the raked look so I don't mind at all. A bit to dark but I'll take some pictures tomorrow (Monday). I also have some 285/75/16 General Grabber AT2s in the back that will hopefully go on Tuesday.

The wind fairing makes a huge difference, I'm very happy with it. As for the front, I have the coil spacer lift I installed earlier this summer. I'm eagerly waiting for the Bilstein 6112's to come out so I can get those in.

Tried to get some pictures with the rear suspension in and mock up of the tires in between rain this afternoon. This thing has a ton of rake and I love it. The side picture has all 4 new tires in the back so it is slightly weighed down. It definitely needs the 285/75's in there to help fill the new tire to fender gap.

Kinda neat seeing the KO2s next to the grabbers. The treads look almost identical but the grabber seems to have a lot more space between the lugs.

Do you think you may have to lose the fat lip bumper after installing the grabbers?

Definitely a very similar tread pattern and that was part of my deciding factors for the Generals. The side walls on the KO2s are much more aggressive as well, with the Grabbers sidewalls being closer to the KOs.

As for the front bumper, I think I can keep the fat lip for now, just having to take off the flare extensions but that's not too big of a deal. Worse comes to worse, I'll trim the lower valence. I plan on getting a new front bumper in the not so distant future but hopefully it won't be horrible until then.

Tires are mounted. Going to get them balanced tomorrow. My rear axle is off center, pulled about half an inch towards the passenger side so I plan on picking up an adjustable trac/panhard bar to pull it center again. I snapped a picture before I left Brian's earlier tonight and will get some better ones in the light tomorrow.

Was able to get the tires balanced today. Some day shots of the new tires. Planned on heading home tomorrow morning and taking one of the pups to First Landing State Park to play so hopefully I can get some worthy pictures if the weather holds up.
