Also picked these up from the upholsterer yesterday. I tried to do it on my own over summer and it was a pretty big failure, I hated the way they looked ever since. Pleased with how they look but in the gap between the new vinyl and actual door panel, there's noticeable mess ups from my attempt so I plan on finding something do use as piping.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you to have that done to the door panels?

Mine are kinda stained and dirty from using it as a work truck for the last three years, on the driver side. The seat I always kept a towel over, but I couldn't do anything about the doors. I've been debating trying myself, but not sure if I have the skills to make it look right.

Yeah, I payed $200 for all 4 to be done. Mine were pretty bad and I tried doing them myself and failed. Rode around with them pretty blotched for a while until I decided to just pull the trigger and get it taken care of because I was tired of looking at them.
I thought it would be much more which is why I tried to do it myself and stayed away from an upholstery shop for so long.
 
That's not too bad. I'll have too look into just having it done. I think I could do the armrests, but those door panel inserts seem like a pain/impossible for someone with no experience...

It's a huge upgrade and I was only door panel-less for a full day. I pulled them off to save some on cost as well. I did the armrests myself and they weren't bad at all but I wanted the vinyl to match so I let them do it all over again.
 
Back on Jan. 8th I got my Gibson Cat Back Exhaust put in. I have a two cat system and this was designed for one cat systems so little modification was needed. The directions state that you need to cut 2 inches before the factory muffler but with the two cat system, you actually needed to cut 5 inches. Besides that, painless. This is a bolt on system but I opted to have it welded into place.
Initially, I thought it was somewhat loud but I was also used to not being able to hear a thing from my factory exhaust. I've gotten used to it now and don't think its loud or obnoxious by any means. There's no noticeable drone or anything, just enough sound for you to know it's there.
I only have a crappy cell phone picture of the system for now but will get a better one when I'm not too lazy to run out in the cold with my camera.

Got the same exhaust through Burtman's deal. Like you, decided to weld on and the clamps were just not cutting it. It really mellowed out after a good 20 miles I love how it sounds, especially with the supercharger on there now.

I bet it sounds great with a little whine to it. There's a local guy running it with a supercharger and I'm eager to hear his. I was nervous about the sound but I'm overall pleased with how it sounds and the Burtman deal was killer.

In other news, hopefully heading down to the Outer Banks late this Friday through either Sunday or Monday depending on how good the waves are compared to class. I'll be meeting some buddies from UNCW down there and will have two photographers with water housings. Assuming the forecast holds up, it should be a successful trip minus the crappy weather on the way. I'll be bringing my camera but will probably be too eager to take pictures.

First full day down, the report held up and then some. Great waves and a little bit of snow to top it off. Started checking the waves at Jennette's Pier and made our way down to Buxton where we had a few sessions and are spending the night. Only one casualty :redbrick: I'll upload some more pictures with some surfing photos when we get back home.

Definitely a crazy weekend. We stayed in the Cape Hatteras Motel in Buxton Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning to a flooded, sand filled parking lot. There were two additional vehicles with us besides mine. I was able to get mine out no problem but they were stuck so I attached a tow rope to one of them to try and pull them out but ended up burying myself. We ended up having to call a tow truck to winch us out and save our vehicles before the sea took them. Here are some pictures courtesy of Epic Shutter based out of the Outer Banks and a few I snagged after being free. She showed up after me and vehicle number two had been recovered but it gives you a good idea of what we were stuck in. My friend who usually swims with his waterhousing didn't want to risk it this trip due to conditions so he videoed from our hotel balcony. We did have an additional swimmer/photographer out there, still waiting to receive his shots.

After making it out, I spend 15 minutes at an underbody car wash trying to get the sand/saltwater out of everywhere. Going to give it another really good spray down tomorrow.
As for housing, I couldn't recommend the Cape Hatteras Hotel for helping us out with towing and giving us a place to stay. We met with the owners the morning after towing/flooding in the parking lot and they helped out in every way possible to get everything cleared up. We have stayed there before and plan on staying there many more times. The owner's true character showed the following morning and they couldn't have been more helpful/giving. A huge recommendation given for anyone staying down there.

His truck made a 5 hour drive home to Wilmington, NC and he said it sounded fine. His truck definitely got beaten up the worst as it was the last one free. All 3 vehicles were out about 25-30 minutes before high tide hit.

Waves were real fun. On Saturday it was strong early, dropped a bit mid day and picked back up before dark. Sunday was huge and unmanageable unless you headed south to a southern facing break. I opted out of surfing Sunday as I wanted to make sure I'd actually be able to make it home. Monday was supposed to be big and clean but turned out to be a bust down there.
 
Saturday I drove the pup to First Landing State park with my uncle. He's got a 2010 Tacoma (Super White, Icon, Domello) and my friend took some pictures. Waiting to get those via email.
Just got this picture from my friend Jake who was in the orange Colorado a few posts up. This gives you an idea of how much moving sand and water there was last weekend. So far, no problems...
