My N-Fabs are rusting pretty bad right now and I really like the look of the Shrockworks sliders. I have an email to them now seeing how long the lead time on them are. Going to need these within a few months as the rusting is just getting worse on my N-Fabs.

Metal Tech Sliders

Here are the mounts! (I am missing the middle top bolts on both sides, they will be put in today)

Also, if anyone was curious about how they fit with stock SR5 rockers, here are pics. Hope this helps people make choices on their sliders! (chapstick and Nalgene for scale, sorry I didn't have a banana.)

I have them pushed up as high as possible... that is without hitting the stock rockers.

Wow MT must've just came out with those TE OPOR sliders, they did not have them on their site during thanksgiving. I would personally stay away from linex on the sliders, especially if you're planning to use them as intended

Because it'll start peeling once it's scratched to bare metal. It'll also allow water to penetrate under the coating (once it's compromised) causing massive corrosion. Regular spray paint works best on sliders IMHO, it's easy and inexpensive to fix trail damage.
Don't get me wrong Linex is awesome just not for sliders.

You're welcome, powder coating is ok( it's easy to touch it up with spray paint)

Just my 2 cents, but I have bullet liner on my sliders and despite the rocks I've hit I have no damage whatsoever. I completely understand the concerns around a bed liner on the sliders, but just wanted to let you all know that mine is holding strong with no problems at all. And it is nice and grippy for my feet

Looking at the C-channel part of the MetalTech sliders (not OPOR), it seems like mud/dirt/debris would get stuck up in there.

Anyone with these sliders, that has actually taken them off-road, have issues with that?

I had them on my 80 series with no issues and that truck saw a lot of dirt and mud.

I have Shrockworks and have beat the crap out of them with the confidence that they will hold up and have. To me the Metal tech look heavier and would probably not hold up as well as SW since they only bolt to the outside vertical frame vs SW that bolt to both outside vert frame AND bottom. I have looked high and low for any type of complaint about SW over the last 10 years that I have been driving 4Runners. The only issue I have ever found is time of production. That doesn't bother me because I don't mind waiting for quality.

Metal Tech OPORS. 13' Trail was totaled after a hit on one side (right in the slider/door area, flipping on to its side then supporting the body weight. The sliders mounted up nearly perfect on my 2015 TEP. :rapture:

My vote goes to Shrockworks. But seemingly MechTech will work too. Neither of them seems to be crap. Yet, personally, I went with SW.
