Orange is metaltech's theme colors.The orange looks great in person and their TE pic has a little too much saturation!
Here's their sweet FJ40 they brought to the FJ Summit last year.

Is that really the same orange? On the 4runner, maybe the picture is too saturated but also looks like just too much orange to begin with. On the FJ, black top is a good contrast. I really like the FJs orange.

I like the orange as a good throwback to the fj but that is a lot of orange. Maybe if the roof and side pillars were black like the fj it would look better.

No problem, its not for everyone! No need to flame you. Hmm looks like Walker Evans Racing bead locks will be going on, sorry no Bronze option. We love it. Been the color for our company trucks since we did our FZJ80 in it back in the day.

Now our FJ Cruiser really got Toyota's attention, in fact the first year it was displayed at SEMA, Toyota also showed 4 trucks in orange.

This of course helped us get the Gen V 4R from Toyota this past year. Almost left it the original black but two magazine editors pushed for it to also get the company color. They love how in print bright colors pop on the pages, vrs. standard grays, dark greens, etc. do not. We agree with them too. The color does not define the truck, it just helps set it apart from the regular colors offered by Toyota. If you look at the photos of the other two trucks above, you will see what does define our rigs. We use them! No driveway queens here. We will build some of the best armor for them using the trucks we own and wheel. Full line of gear coming for the Gen V from Metal-tech 4x4.

Oh and sorry :shrug: you will have to come up with another nic-name for the 4R, the FZJ80 (If not known the first truck is an FZJ80 Landcruiser) is WAY bigger and has been called the pumpkin for just shy of 8 yrs. imp:

The 4Runner is actually paint matched to the FJ Cruiser, we have a piece of tape that has orange painted on it and it disappears on our trophy fender that we bashed into a tree with. Since the paint is so new it is still in the curing phase and will tone down a bit in a few days.

We had the front and rear bumper painted orange till we tear them off to develop bumpers and that point the bumpers will be black to break up the orange. Soon as the 4Runner is back on all 4's again we will be breaking in the gears as fast as we can and the front bumper will be removed for development. By the time the FJ Cruiser Summit comes around our 4Runner will have a front shell bumper, sliders, long travel front and rear, 34" Falken tires, arb air locker, 4.56 gears and aluminum beadlocks.

I've updated the build thread with the small stuff that we have done so far. Still waiting on the coilover/shocks from Radflo and the thirds to be rebuilt. Once those are done I can get everything put back together.
