MetalTech's customer service....

...is amazing as always.

I picked up a set of lower links through the fall group buy on the FJ forum and finally got around to installing them today thanks to some warm weather and an early spring melt.
The passenger side went on relatively easily. I had to use a ratchet strap to pull the axle backwards to make everything line up, even though most people seem to say to hook the strap forward. When it came time to adjust the driver's side to length, I could not get the Johnny Joint to thread in more than about 2/3 of the way (1/2+ of exposed thread), even with a pair of 18" pipe wrenches. it was absolutely jammed in the one direction.
After cursing for several minutes, I called up MT and spoke with Wade, who was able to confirm that was there was indeed a problem, probably with the tolerances between the cast threads on the Johnny Joint and the cut threads on the link tube.
So, MT is sending out a brand new complete link here to me in Alberta via UPS and a prepaid label to get the old one back to Oregon. Wade even said he would personally thread the replacement link himself to ensure I wouldn't run into the same problem.
I'm very pleased with the service from MetalTech, and from Wade in particular, though the other guys I have spoken with there over the years have also been great. They definitely have a repeat customer in me.

Good to hear. I've had good experiences with MT as well.
The lower links are awesome btw; I had a set installed a few months ago.
Uppers are next on the list, along with a new track bar.

I worked with Wade a few weeks ago when I ordered my lift, great guy to work with at MT. He was a ton of help for sure

precisely my plans as well. what panhard bar are you looking at?

Great Customer Service

Over the last couple of weeks Wade has been on top of his A game. I asked for a quote on a suspension set up and the lower links after talking about what I wanted to do. During a follow up phone call I was informed that the last set of shocks were already put aside for me and that made my day. I was coordinating several projects at once with a date pretty much set in stone. Their customer service came through. I can't wait to share a picture of my lifted and armored Trail next week once I get the new 285 tires installed.

I'll probably just grab THIS one on the same order as the upper links and some other goodies.
Just a side note: I also recently got a set of the heavy duty rear swaybar links from SkyJacker. Looks like the mounting position of the brake lines is a bit farther out on the MT lower links so I don't think I'll have to relocate.

Wow this is timely I just ordered and received my MT upper links and had a few questions and Wade was a great help to me. He ran downstairs opened up the box and made some measurements for me before ordering. I sent an email with a question after I received them and got a response almost immediately. Metal tech and Wade have been awesome to deal with, not to mention great quality and we get a discount !
Thanks again Wade !
