Michelin LTX M/S Recall

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up there has been a recall on Michelin LTX M/S:

Voluntary Safety Recall : MICHELIN LTX M/S2, MICHELIN X Radial LT2, MICHELIN Latitude Tour | Michelin Tires

It sounds like even if you aren't part of the recall, Michelin will replace your tires.

Michelin recommends removal of these tires as soon as possible. To reduce any inconvenience for consumers, Michelin will replace any tires from the list below on their vehicles even if they are not part of the 2,500 known affected tires. The removed tires will be replaced with a similar product free of charge.

That's interesting, the recall is strictly for 18, 19, and 20 inch tires.

There's another one for a 16-iinch size, different tread pattern though.

Same here, 25K on my MS2! I'll be headed back to Discount Tire later this week.

The recall is only if your dot sequence and dot date matches what is on the recall notice. They are not recalling all tires made in that size. They are recalling all tires that fall within the dot/date stated, but only a fraction are affected. This recall happened last summer. Most people should have received a letter for the recall at the same time if your purchase was after the affected date. If you do have the affected size on your car, then check your dot sequence/date first before wasting gas to your local tire shop.

Were your tires in the exact dot sequence and dot date matches that are on the recall notice?

Yes, all of mine were in the dot sequence.
