Mien4x4's Build

So i decided that i want to run a lower gearing for off road purposes and to take some stress off my tranny and engine from running 35s, so i installed matching 529s frnt n rear

housing i picked up from (Rob) DOWNPOUR11 thanks for the hook up bro

Been busy there Mien, I like it. If all you gen3's keep building them up, I'll never be able go on any runs with you all, I'll be stuck on the bottom.

So, is there much difference between your stock e-locker rear end and the gen 4s rear end? Mounts and all. pretty sure the gearing is a little different.

thanks man and youll be fine to run the rails with us just need more spotting and time but between the 2 gens rear elocker i cant tell you whats the difference becouse i dont know anything about the 4th gens sorry having fun

two lockrights? your going to sound like a machine gun in turns. Your truck is awesome man. Keep it up!

I can selectively chirp now. Whateva! I chirp tires when I want! .... well it's not hooked up at the moment.. dammit.

thanks TCMach but i have manual hubs in the front so itll just be the rear that clicks i think if i go with a heavier weigght gear oil it will quit more

Rob its actually pretty good at not chirping on turns as long as i dont aplly to much gas lol

I didnt even think about those manual hubs. That'll make things nicer. Yea I'm running 75w90 heavy redline shockproof and its really not that loud. I have to have the rear windows down to hear it. But boy ive gotten some looks haha

yep the front is completely silent but the rear I notice it clicks more and louder on sharper turns and I havent gotten any looks from anyone but my friends but I only had it in for about 2 weeks so well have to see lol

nice build you got going on there man...Just one question, when you did your manual hub swap, did you use the 4runner spindle and keep the ABS or did you use the tacoma spindle and ditch your ABS?

thanks bro but i used the 4runner spindle and kept the ABS because when the got the hub with the tacoma spindle they where rusted up pretty good

Okay man...I will hit you up when I start doing my swap pretty soon, hope you dont mind...:hat:

na its cool bro ill help you out as much as i can but there couple builds out there like from Singtoe and Doc2012 that has very good info and pics that i used to do mine

Sweet build and nice score on the parts. For the sake of possibly saving you some hassle. When installing the uca's make sure you put some grease between the bushing and outside washer. I failed to read that part of the install sheet and it started squeeking in a month. After R&r it's perfectly quite.
