Mikey's Build Thread...

Okay. I may have to look into this later on. Got a few things that take priority over this, and a new CB set up is on that list just after new suspension and maybe wheels

Think of CB as being ok comms for close proximity. When you start ending up out away from everything, like Mojave, it's nice to have comms that can reach a distance in an emergency.

Next year planning on doing one of the Mojave or Death Valley runs so getting a HAM was an easy choice. Plus I got hassled a lot from the 120 guys to get it, so that helped.

Todays update. The bumper will go all the way to the lights ala Gadget's bumper. Lines closely following the stock lines.

Well seeing how unlikely I'll get to run one of those types of runs, I'll stick with the CB for now.

Oh and those lines...ohhh they look sooo sweet already. I loved that about gadgets truck, how rear panels came up to the lights.

Dang Mike.. that is starting to look interesting... mebe4running's Hefty Fab bumper has been on my list for the rear end, but You got me seriously thinking .. can't wait to see the final product!

Okki

I totally agree! Is the corner being curved out to match the factory panel? the other lines are very nice so far. Looking forward to finished product!

Okki

If you are talking under the spindle, what you see will be close to finish, that is Luke's style. Now under the tail light, not sure. Either way I am happy so far.

The spindle area I'm curious about how it will tie in with the rest of the rear bumper since it seems to sit on a fairly large platform, but that might simply be the angle how the pic was taken.

I was referring to the red line; is it going to match the orange radius?

Okki

I will find out about the line.

***Edit*** The above photo is version one. Version two has the line matching the body!!!

For where the spindle is sitting it is sitting on a platform but I think it is due to the part under the tail light not being filled in yet. I think it gives the impression that it is really sticking out there. Once the arms are on and accessories it will definitely thin that plat form out.

2nd Edit. This is version two in CAD and he is on the third.
