Agree. This is why I got the bumper. Gobs of clearance and a full size spare on the back. I am sure there is a fab person that can make a bumper with the spare underneath, but then you won't gain ground clearance.

Hofs05 really dislikes the way swing outs look and for the wheeling she does more clearance isn't needed, especially since steel can get dragged around just fine.

Take a look at the Shrockworks. It is a straight bolt on so you might be able to squeeze the spare underneath.

You do have to cut up the bumper cover and does just bolt to the frame without further modification. Think you only remove the hitch to gain a tad of clearance.

Just looked at it and its the one I was think of. Not a fan at all of how it just goes over the plastic bumper. Maybe I'll hit up 4x4 labs directly or give Budbuilt a call

Yeah I agree with you on the Shrockworks. Good luck with the search. Try Hefty Fab too. They might be able to make what you are looking for pretty easily off their current design.
 
Had an AWESOME camping trip with a bunch of the 120 guys and gals up at Shaver Lake. Do think I had my front left coilover loose the nitrogen charge or something. The way home was really floaty. So time to get all of them rebuilt and maybe see about adding reservoirs.

hopefully I did everything correctly and they work. Should be installing the pod tomorrow.

Yellow - to be spliced into a light switch activated source
Red - 12V from the battery
Black - 2 separate grounds, one for the yellow and one for the bottom LED (directions said I could jump them but decided to keep them separate.
Blue - to relays controlling the 1. Rigid Industries SR20 2. Wurton 40" LED roof bar and 3. Rigid Industries SR6 for the rear lights.

Going to butcher the Rigid harness tomorrow too to get the light actually hooked up. Then I will wait and get a aux fuse box and a relay bank to clean everything up.

If anyone sees something wrong let me know. Thanks.

So this was probably asked but I just missed it. Which switches did you get? Was it the V1D1GNNB with the independent upper and dependent lower? The yellow Wire just goes to the light switch for the running lights and headlights?

The switch is a single pull single throw that has an LED to light the switch with the car lights and one to illuminate the bar on the switch when it's on. Not sure which part number it was but I ordered amber/amber and it matches very well.

And yes the yellow I just spliced in to a light switch activated source.

I use the suction cup mount on the moonroof. Actually kind of a nice spot. I should have used my other Go Pro outside of the vehicle to get a different aspect.

Man that is a great idea. I liked the perspective in you vids. Very good stuff. What editing program you have? I still have a couple hours of footage from trips last year I have yet to edit.

I use Apple's iMovie. Pretty simple to use just can't get super creative with it.
 
Next weeks project......



disassembling the truck and sending the suspension for a rebuilt and add some remote reservoirs!!!! Got in touch with Radflo and will start the process. Say turn around is 3-5 days which is not bad.

Feels like my front left coilover went south on the camping/wheeling trip. Might as well get them all rebuilt at once.

Such a simple, yet brilliant spot to put it! I think I just might have to steal your idea some day :)
