Mikey's Build Thread...

A bit late but a couple weeks ago did a little trip to the Lost Coast. More of a camping trip, the trail is truly not difficult, but still enjoyable. The sights are awesome and the camping is great!!

Pretty much what the trail looked like the whole way. Everything was so green for this record breaking drought California is having.

Camped the first night at USAL beach and was greeted by this beast.

Awesome looking trip.
How are those light cannons in that location? I have 2 of the bigger ones on the bumper. I was considering getting two more for up there. They are great lights.
Most of the pictures you post make me want to take a trip to California.

They are good. They are as big of a light I would want on the ditch bracket. Throw a good amount of light, but you know that from having the bigger ones on the bumper.

They will be accompanied by a 40" bar in a wide (or combo) beam on the roof. The bumper will then hold the amber light for the dust and other adverse conditions. And if I can ever figure out how to put some dually's in the fog light position I will be done with lights.

When I first saw them I thought they were too big for the ditch brackets, but the more I look at them I think they're fine. Agree with you that you wouldn't want to go much bigger though.

Did a little cargo area lighting courtesy of mbumpus11.

Only two of the four ordered LEDs are in.

Pulled the wire out the grommet because I could not get the other side off.

Then in through the small circle grommet which made pulling the wires through a breeze.

The speaker plate has a pass through grommet which the wires easily go through. Then put it all back together.

Just need to figure out where to put the other two LEDs.

So much better then stock.

Did you notice any more wind noise with the ditch lights?
I have all the same parts sitting here in boxes that I still haven't opened.

Great build thread by the way.

Only two decent pictures of the rig so far from the Shaver Lake run this weekend.

Squeezing it through the rock and a hard place.

The beast probably will be going up for sale soon, so if anyone is looking for rig and doesn't want to build one. Keep your eyes peeled.

Sad to hear. I was hoping to get involved in some trips this summer. Was too busy planning a wedding this past summer.
