No, 80mm would be too small...the one I used is 90mm. It just fits around the shroud perfectly. Now I have to figure out how to power it as a DRL and turn signal. Our 4Runners use the turn signal bulb as a DRL also. I would rather use the halo as the DRL...it is nice and bright, and use the turn signal bulb as a side marker light only when headlights are on.. I'm working on a solution.

Did you ever figure out a wiring solution? I'm picking up a set of the Triton v6 switchbacks from vled to use in conjunction with the halos as DRl and turn signals.

I just finished doing this mod. I have my previous retro (D2S 2.0 projectors and headlight's) for sale. The headlights are in good shape. You'd just need to buy the ballasts and wiring harness.

I wasn't planning on selling the headlights just yet, but I actually had a few inquiries as soon as I posted yesterday. If the 1st guy doesn't pull the trigger tonight, I'll post/pm some pics.

Yes, I have my lights working properly. Read my posts, #125... I was able to use the Halos as DRL and can switch them off at will. They also operate as turn signals, turning amber when the signal is activated.

$70 for a set of brackets...yowza. With that said, I used the generic mounting brackets from TRS and had to cut them and drill the mounting holes. After doing this and not getting "perfect" results, I wouldn't hesitate to pay the $70.

yea, the bracket method are good for the diyers thatdont want to spend alot, but the results are pretty good.

i prefer to use oem now, my oem rx projectors lasted me for 6 plus years now. its still good, but it can use a whole new headlight lens and a tuned shield.
i just took put the s2k retros on and it was really bright with 50w and used cbi bulbs i had laying around.
they all say the rx afr can use a shield tuned/ drop and itll be the same performance of the s2k.

Did you tune your rx projectors? I just put some in my new Taco and need to tune but not sure how.

my rx330 has only the tsxr clear lens, and the squirrel finders covered up.
a shield drop with those could of help.
on another car i got the rx350 afs, its on a 2011 camry, that has the clear lens on and its tuned from the lens, looks pretty bright with 50w on osram svs.

Rx350 with clear lens, output is okay but cut off is terrible. I got some paper spacers to add but not sure what else is involved.

Well the thread say use the paper spacer on the lens holder. Then put the clear lens and use the tab to secure the lens. I also read that to use washer spacer on the nubs. Tuning the projector requires atleast 40ft of distance. Remember don't go too crazy with the blue cutoff.

Any pics of your S2K setup/install? Im about to redo mine as I only had them temporarily mounted for a short time. Actually took them off months ago and have yet to go back and finish it. Been focused on my audio instead. Lol.

Ive already dremeled the hell out of the housings to flush up the projectors. Mainly ive got to tune my cutoff and center the lens visually in the factory bezel opening. Running the E30 clears too. Cant wait to get it back on.

No shame in that. They do great work! Sure its expensive but quality costs and should last forever. Ive been sucked back down the rabit hole of car audio again too, thanks DIYMA. Lol
