Mobile 0-30W oil

Anyone that operates under severe duty thinking about swithcing?

I switched my Yaris to Mobile 0-30W full synthetic and eyeballed the 4R as it is due for a change in the next couple weeks.

I know the whole oil thing has been cussed and discussed. However this 0-30W oil is new to me.

Yes it has been discussed and the consensus was/is to stay with 0W-20 as Toyota says in the owners manual.

For whats its worth I run Amsoil 0W-30 in my Runner for years. I'm thinking you have a 5th gen though.

I know you are a recent join so welcome!
Yes, this subject has been debated just a little lol. Two things:
There is nothing out there better for the application than 0-20 and
Unless you are racing your 4 Runner through Mexico and Baja at 1000 miles a day, or pulling a 5K trailer almost daily then you are not on the severe duty cycle.
