Moisture in cabin

Has anyone else had issues with moisture in the cabin? My truck sat all weekend during rain/cold weather, and this morning there was a good amount of condensation on the inside to the windshield/windows. My hunch is that this is either due to (a) blocked sunroof drains or (b) a bad seal on one or more of the firewall grommets where my alarm/fridge wiring passes through. Anything else you guys think I should check?

hmm, we had the same crap weather as you and there was nothing on any windshield.

Yeah, was really curious so i went and looked under the hood, I definitely think some water is seeping in through at least one of the grommets. I'm going to plug them up with some silicone sealant tonight and see if that clears it up. I am also going to leave some moisture removal bags + mildew prevention/eliminator bags in the truck to prevent long term effects.

oh crap. I went on a dudes weekend to west virginia this past weekend. On the way there my camelback leaked out 100 ounces of water onto the back seat!!!!! The left rear back cushion thing absorbed ALL the water! It was wet all weekend. I have kept a towel below the seat in case any drains out, but, i'm hoping that it will evaporate away without any smells.

Damn! Yeah might want to put in some anti-mildew stuff and moisture absorber...and get some Wet Okole Seat covers...

I had the exact same thing happen to me a few months back. Checked, what I thought were all the obvious places. Rubber grommets I had politely molested :wow:, and the rack mounts through the roof. Never found anything worth pointing a finger at, until I tackled my rear storage mod...

When I pulled up the cargo area carpet, the jute backing was damp. After some investigation, I discovered the rubber seal around my hatch wasn't seated completely in it's channel near the upper left corner.

Must've been that damn guy who installed my CB, and ran the rack lights.:nerd: Anyway, I guess that was it because I've been fine ever since.

Thanks Antman. I'll double-check that as well. I did notice that my drivers side carpet is damp tonight when I had more time to poke around, so I do think that main drivers side grommet was the issue, especially since water will drip down right near there after running off the windshield cowl. I siliconed that bad boy up tonight and will check it, and the back hatch tomorrow.
