Are the clear DRL lenses aftermarket?

They are just the stock lens. I have silver coated bulbs installed so you don't see the amber until the blinkers are turned on

Thanks man. Sorry, but I don't have any up close shots. For the most part i used [MENTION=46025]HokieRunner[/MENTION] 's write up but since i already had an old Yakima fairing and the brackets it was more of just modding it that making it all.

So I just got my WMW rack in yesterday, dropped off at powder coating today.

My question is, exactly what kind of fairing did you have laying around? I need to get one going for my rack.

I had an old full size Yakima fairing and brackets from years ago. It is basically the same thing that [MENTION=46025]HokieRunner[/MENTION] built, seen here:

...the Yakima fairing and brackets just gave me a little headstart.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm about to purchase an old Yakima full size fairing and do the same thing as you. My next question is, how'd you get rid of the Yakima logo? It looks like it's stamped into the plastic and not a sticker?

I think i used denatured alcohol and a rag to get it off. I had this one since around 1991 so it was pretty scratched up so once i was done cutting it down to the size i wanted i ended up putting a layer of black vinyl on the front of it. Another plus of having this old fairing was it having the rubber part along the bottom.

Gotcha. I should have mine later this week and I guess i'll find out how much cutting you had to do lol.

When i cut mine down the first time i just loosely measured the soace between the top of the windshield and the top of the front bar of the rack. I left just a litle extra on the top of the fairing so i could cut it down more if i wanted. Easier to ut it down more than cutting off too much.

I decided to switch out my Light Racing UCA's to the Camburg Ball Joint UCA's with the Moog ball joints. Really pleased with the quality of the parts and the ride.

Morris, what prompted you to switch to Camburgs? Just asking as I am running LR's in my rig.

Just for the peace of mind. I know there have been some people that have had issues with the Light Racing UCA's failing on them. I just decided to go ahead and replace them.

Also...what lights where hose on the rear of your rack and where are you running the wires? Im trying to figure out what to do with mine atm.
