I am pretty sure the front one will be ok. The rear one has a pretty big chunk out of it.....:frusty:

New shoes will be coming for sure. Have to wait till Wed to have those two wheels checked out. I am pretty sure the front one isn’t warped. I am pretty sure the rear isn’t warped but want to make sure it isn’t cracked. Also want to see if it can be repaired. After that i will decide if i am keeping those wheels or not....then new tires and alignment

Thanks. It scared both of us but we were good. Had we been in a car it would have been pretty bad. It would have ripped off the bumper, fender, blown the tire, shattered the wheel and no telling what else would have been messed up....wheels and tires can easily be replaced.

This will be a little long....
Surprisingly the front wheel had zero damage. It just had a little rubber mark it front where the tire folded. That front tire was toast for sure. The rear wheel had a big chunk taken out of it and that tire has a 3"-4" gash in the sidewall. I went to a local Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist to see what they said about the wheels. He tested the front wheel and it is not warped at all so it is good to go. On the rear wheel he suggested not trying to repair it because of where the damage it on the edge. Also, he wouldn't be able to tell if there was any cracking until the tire was removed. I just figured I would buy a new wheel to replace that one......come to find out Method has discontinued the Machine Finished Standard wheel in 18x9 with a -12 offset. I was able to locate 1 so I went ahead and ordered it. In the meantime I had been checking on tires. I had already decided that I wanted to run Falken Wildpeak AT3W. I started checking around and the size that I wanted is not available for an 18" wheel. That brought up another thought. I have been wanting to switch wheels for a while, just because I have had polished/silver wheels on this truck since I bought it 16 years ago. My son has really been wanting me to get something darker. This seemed to be a good time to switch, so I am going to buy a set of 17" wheels and sell these 18" Methods. The trouble with that is deciding on the wheel/color. I thought I had finally decided on a set of bronze Icon Rebounds but my wife, who normally has no opinion on truck stuff, really didn't like the bronze color and said "please do not get those".....lol.....i just laughed and said ok......soooo, not I have narrowed it down to the Black Icon Rebound, Titanium Icon Rebound and the Gunmetal SCS Ray10. With one of those wheels I will run a 285/75 17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W.
Sorry for the long explantation but it has turned into more than just replacing a couple of tires....lol

Dang, hate to hear about this. Glad you and the kiddo are okay.
I would be willing to take the 4 good wheels left off your hands if you're thinking about selling.
I will have my 4 and one brand new one to list once i get my new wheels. I will let you know when that happens.

I'm a fan of the Ray 10's myself but, all of the above look good. I was originally planning on stickin with the stock wheels or, going with Trail/FJ 8 holers. Then I fell in lust with the Ra 10's. Now however, I am considering the Method NV's.
My dilemma is, stick with 16's so I can use my existing tires as they are almost new. Or, go 17's. The WildPeaks are a solid choice. I have them on my '02 F150. I'm leaning towards Dura Tracs for the runner but, I see a lot of negative comments about them. Although, the same can be said for the Falcon's.

I vote for either the black or titanium Icons. (We get a vote, right??) To me, the SCS look too much like the 5th Gen SR5 wheels.
Yep, i would love to hear some opinions.
Yep, i have been in the same boat for a while. The original KO's i have now would not wear out.....i have over 55K on them and they still have tread left. You just can't buy them any more. If you have newer tires now I would try to sell them. Once you get them worn in the amount you would get for them would drop off a good bit.

Hate to hear about the accident, glad you guys are all good. If I'm buyin, i'm goin straight for the SCS gunmetal, all day B-)

I think Icon rebound Titanium would look awesome on your 4runner. Otherwise with black rims it would be too much of black..the scs beadlocks are too wide or thick, kind of draws attention away from the rims. Easy to compare in the side by side picture.

Sorry, just seeing this. I don't have a write up on the grill. When I switched mine i was kind of winging it and figuring it out as I went along.
