Moonroof idea

Such things are exist on some high-end European and Japanese cars. I don't know why, but most advanced things which you can find in Europe is not available here. For example, those rain sensors were introduced in Europe more then 10yr ago in luxury vehicles. Right now you can find small budget cars with them. In North America not even Lexus has it. In correlation to Europe, Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla should have them a long time ago. I talked to some major car manufactures and was told that Americans are too conservatives to such things, they like simplicity and most moms wouldn't need it, ...bla-bla-bla.

I'm pretty sure the Focus and the Corolla here in the states have them, or at least as an option.. I just remember tinting a couple corollas and a couple foci that the wipers would turn on if we got the windshield wet..

I'm not sure about States, but here in Canada none of Toyotas has it.

In the US, most or just about all Lexus models have rain sensing wipers. I think the only Toyota with it is the Avalon, and maybe '07 Camry.

I think the Corolla might be windshield washer linked wipers, where the wipers are activated when the washer fluid is sprayed. But if the Corolla is offered with rain sensing wipers, why didn't Toyota offer it on a SUV that cost twice as much.

I thought Toyota incorporated the anti-pinch/jam feature on all windows with auto up. Although the manual says not to deliberately test the feature though. But Toyota should give us the window roll-up feature like the JDM 4Runners on the remote. On my other car, my Clifford SmartWindows system that rolls up open windows upon arming will halt it's position if it detects something blocking the path of the window. Since Toyota fears of potential liability suits, the feature should be there but not enabled so owners or dealer can program it, like the transmission linked door locking or the keyless remote beep/mute confirmation and one or two presses of 'unlock' to unlock all doors.

I don't know, but i just remember tinting a corolla last summer and when we got some overspray on the windshield from tinting the two front windows, the windshield wipers activated.. figured they were rain sensing..
