More ads?

What's with the ads being incorporated into every post, every topic, everything in general? It selects popular words and hyperlinks it with an ad that pops up? Has anyone else found this to be annoying?

Example: hold your cursor over the double-underlined words in my signature. It takes random words and links them to ads.

yeppers, it does cost money to run a forum, and keep it running.

I just figured Greg and Thai are trying to get some money to balance the budget. The original budget was predicated on free gas for the 4 years with Uneek & Falls as Pres and VP. Since that didn't work out they're just doing the best they can

I'm also curious how much it costs to host a website.

I don't know the per day numbers but: Members: 24,867, Threads: 40,803, Posts: 348,373


$2800, hmmm: two ways to look at that. How many of us have spent many dollars and maybe even $2800 because of this site:lmao: On the other hand I know the site has saved many, self included, lots of money maybe even $2800...



I wonder what it costs annually to keep going. It has to be a few hundred dollars at least.

You guys are also looking at the total amount of members. How many of those are actually active? A few hundred? Most of the members have signed up, and either never posted, or posted once or twice, then never came back.

Chris, I only wish I have spent $2,800 here. :lmao:
I think my running total is somewhere in the $5.5k-$7k range.
