Went to look at a 2015 4Runner and fell in love with it. Couldn't believe the refinement, good looks and feel compared to my 4th gen. Put money down on a black & black coming in in 2 weeks and got an awesome trade for my 08 4th gen. Can't wait for it to get here and.get some mods on 'er!

I felt the same way. I had always avoided looking too closely at the 5th gen because I had a feeling I'd really like it and would end up having to buy one. Rented a 4WD in Jackson Hole and sure enough they gave me a 2014 SR5. I sold my 80 series cruiser and bought my 5th gen within one month of getting home.

I love that every story I read about loyal 4r owners upgrading, they mention that they got a great trade on their old 4r.

Enjoy the new ride!

The test drive is the killer. I wasn't even looking to replace my beloved (and cherry) 2002 Sport but saw a 2015 Trail online and that got the wheels turning in my head.

Fast forward 2 weeks later and there is a black on black loaded TE sitting in my garage. Off the truck and into my garage. Go figure LOL

i resemble those remarks...

I was in the market for a 4th gen or Lex GX470 for about a yrs' worth of research before a saw a 2014 with deep discounts in the area. i was going to pass and just go for the Lexus for the luxuries of it, and for my wife to enjoy, until I read that the 2014-2015 were going to be identical, so i just said fugg it and went to test drive the 2014. oh, and i found THIS forum which gave me so much info to go on of course :photo:

one walk around, and one test drive and i was completely hooked. the reviews say all they can about how uncarlike it is...but to me its heaven. the wife didnt like it for the first day...and has been in love from the 2nd day on...

no changes into 2016 either...thats just fine too...i dont see many 5th gen-refresh models around anyway, lets give more folks a chance to play catchup...

My wife's 2002 4Runner was up for replacement. While neither of us really cared for the 5th gen aesthetics, once we drove one it was settled. The fit and finish, and ride quality are absolutely amazing. I even want to replace my 2009 with a new one, but can't wrap my head around having two 2015 4runners.

I've had more 4Runners than probably almost anyone. I don't currently have one, i drive a Yukon Denali. Got my wife a 2015 SR5 Premium back in February. I love it. So... Looks like the Denali is going away and we're going to be a two 2015 4Runner family.
