The Nitto terra grapplers are a great all round AT, and that is same size of the set I have sitting except these at the P not the LT265/70R17 type I have.

Actually if you search the net you probably can find these cheaper.

Hey Mystic I was thinking the same thing! Trail Grapplers for $600! Yeah for that price for the Terra Grapplers you can find them cheaper. Check Discount Tires, Custom Wheels, Rims, Goodyear, Michelin, Cooper Tires or check with Discount Tire. If you are going for those tires this is what you do. Go online and search as many tires places as possible and find the lowest price you can. Then contact Discount Tire or Tire Rack and they should match that price.

Yea Trails not terra. I like the terra grapplers but I would much rather go with the trail grapplers for both looks and the fact that with offroading in a 2wd you kinda need that extra grip of MT compared to an AT tire.

Found some 295/70R17 trails on discount tire. They have a sale price of $236 a tire. The 285/70R17 BFG MT KM2's are on sale on tirerack for $229 a tire. How do you guys feel they compare?

I like them pretty good but don't know if I would get them again next time, or go for something different. They look great and perform well offroad. The two rear tires have mild chunking on the treads, probably from when I was on some rocky trails. The road noise is tolerable but road manners are a little annoying. With my lift, the tires, and my Bajarack, my 4Runner is all over the place on the highway. I constantly have to adjust and try to keep it from swerving.

They are almost identical to the GY Duratrac and I am getting them for $145 a tire.

Thanks bro, its about to get a Shrockworks bumper on and some OME springs next week, I'll have to post some pics. As far as tires go, depending on price when I actually need new ones it will probably be a battle between 285/70R17 BFG MT KM2(like I have), 295/70R17 Nitto Trail MT, or maybe that Safari TSR(I will have to look into those since the price is so good).

BTW, off topic but do you think I should debadge completely or take the badges off and paint them black. (My 4Runner got keyed and is getting repainted so some badges are already coming off.)

From what I have seen on the internet they handle quite well. This two reviews really helped me decide on the Safari TSR.

The first one is a more in depth review than the 2nd but it gives you an idea of what they look like on more than one vehicle. I think they look really rugged and nice on both vehicles. Another thing I like about them is they are made by Goodyear under the Kelly name.

I like my KM2's, they have been great in all conditions and worked perfectly when I was climbing to the peak of "Top of the World" in Moab, Utah.

But my first choice were the Nitto Trail Grapplers but I did not want to go with a LT295/70R17 tires since it would be a 34 inch tire and I bearly fit in my garage as is.

My experience with Nitto TG's in the past I have nothing bad to say about they on and off road, they performed very well in anything I put them through.
