Friends,
I'll be going to do the Matagorda, TX Seashore tomorrow. 30 miles of beach driving, fishing, and fun. I've been trying to figure outt exacttly what settings to use on my 4x4, and looking for some deep sand experience.
My plan was 4lo with MTS in the Mud, Sand, Dirt setting. If I get stuck, I can use A-TRAC instead, and lock the rear diff, and if that doesn't work I can use crawl control to work my way out.
My understanding is A-TRAC works like MTS on the highest setting, and stops wheel slippage more. Having the MTS in sand will allow for a little more wheel spin.
Does that sound like a good plan to everyone? It's my first time with a system like this.
