I just receieved the following reply:

I have taken this question to Toyota Canada and have been advised that we are not able to sell and ship to international destinations. If you were able to arrange to have someone here purchase this part for you we could sell to them but we cannot, at this time sell and ship to the US. Sorry for this. Thank you and have a great day.

To which I replied:

Thanks for the reply. Would it be possible for me to pay via credit card and have somebody local pick it up?

And received the following:

Yes, but I would have to set up your account with his local address. When you order the part I will need to create an account for you and it will need to show a Canadian address with a Canadian phone number. We will then call this person and arrange for them to pick it up and bill it to your credit card. We can make a note on the order to advise you by e-mail that the part is here. I hope this works for you.

This is unbelievable.....its not like we're trying to buy guns or explosives....they're damn mudguards. What could possibly be their justification to stop people in the US from getting mudguards?

You are preaching to the choir brother. Actually, buying a gun is easier. :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick:

What is this Cuba, man

I am also waiting for some Dealers to get back to me, another option might be sending a certified check to the Dealer. If it is near me I could take it to UPS and send it out on your account. You need an invoice with your name and address to go through US customs.

They all claim to have burned too many times with stolen Credit card orders over the phone...

That phone number googles to.....
Langley Toyotatown Vancouver
20622 Langley Bypass
Vancouver BC V3A
Phone: +604-530-3156

Did you talk to Steve? You do know about the secret code,right...............JK
Maybe they don't any more as that was over a year ago.

I have one that will do 20% off for 10+. They won't do credit cards over the phone but "claim" that a western union wire or certified cheque (check) will do for payment of the product... they won't ship.

They are 15 minutes from me...

So, I could drop them at the UPS if you have accounts but you need to organize payment with them and get boxed with invoice in your names and addresses.

I am on the West Coast.

It is in Langley a suburb of Vancouver

I did just talk to Steve got a stern NO..

But once we solve this we can figure out the JFK assassination and the properties of dark matter.

Any chance of paypal? Another option (although lofty) is for one person to buy them and get reimbursed by others? Either way, I'm undoubtedly in. :hungry:

I do have a paypal account, but organizing shipping and US customs is a little more work, we need 10 people, there was about 4-5 interested.

I'll look into shipping via the post office... cheapest

For those of you with mud guards (OEM or Husky), have you noticed any reduction with snow and road grime getting on the back window? With the recent snow, I have been amazed how quickly the rear window gets gunked up. Im assuming it has to be coming form the wheels, as the T4R is garaged and comes out with a clean roof.

Let's go people! Get in on this great deal! We need a few more people to make this happen...

Any update on these mud flaps? I'm flying into Toronto the beginning of February for business. I guess it's looking like I may just pick up a pair for myself while I'm there at the local Toyota dealership. I'll pay full price I guess :bash: but at least I'll finally get them. :naughty:

Yes, I checked out the post office and it would be no more than $40 mailed with $100 insurance and tracking. So, I figured I could get them to you guys for about $155 (130 less 20% + 12% tax+ shipping) total if I could still get the 20% discount, mailing included. Might have to add for boxing? I would do a flat fee via paypal. I was going to start a new thread to see if we had 10 people for the 20% discount. I am not making any money on this and I don't know what the forum rules are on posting a unique thread to get 10 people,,, if we don't get 10, I might try to talk the dealer into doing 20% for less than 10. Once we know I can order them and they would be in within 24 hours.

ThirdToy, you should pick up a set if you are there, they need to be ordered in, usually 24 hours. It will cost you $130 plus 13% tax for Ontario. They come sealed in a plastic bag about 24x20x4 inches.

I'm in but for those of us with UPS / FedEx numbers are you still willing to drop them off at a UPS / FedEx store for shipping? I guess they would do whatever export paperwork would be needed.
