Muffler Options

I've watched that before. It sounds pretty good.

Personally I think the only way to tell if you like an exhaust or not is to listen to it in person.

yeah i couldnt think of the word drone so i said roar, but its right at 1800 rpms for me. i like it personally but if i were like 40 then maybe not so much. . .

Hey guys, I haven't been aroumd in a while and saw this thread and wanted to update...

I went about 2 hrs. from my house about 2 months ago to get my cat cut out (it was destroyed inside anyways) and had an 18" Magnaflow installed and Wow!!! This muffler is awesome! No drone at lower end RPM's but sounds evil at W.O.T.

MPG's remained virtually the same... Maybe a tad lower... Nothing to whine too much about, I had the guy weld up dual exits (diagonally out the sides) and had 3" slash cut chrome tips...

I personally would recommend the Magnaflow over the 40 Series, I've heard it on a Taco, with the 3.4 and there really is no comparison...

I paid $350 out the door for everything...

No cat + 18" Magnaflow is not comparable to a 40 Series + cat in my opinion.

I think every muffler would sound differnt if the cat was not there.

I would love to do a dual exhaust. Are both of yours functional?

and its one muffler with two pipes running out, sound comes out of both pipes so yes i would say its "functional" in the sounds and looks department

He could have gone for a dual muffler set up, I think.

I should have figured this wasn't the case though.

And yes Funtional and "Fashionable" haha....

My truck idles much lower than stock, so i guess you could say that i get better gas economy when i'm not moving.... Can't really call it "mile"age if you aren't gaining miles....

i'll try to get some pictures up soon... I Rhino-lined my flares and body cladding... Also did the brushguard and taillight guards... look for an update soon!!!
