Hey everyone this May sound like a dumb question but I don't know much about mufflers but would it be possible to install one of those thrush welded mufflers without doing welding? Once again i don't know
Much I just thought about it and I don't know anybody who can weld

Ive seen youtube videos of people just clamping them on, dont know how secure that is though.

Good choice in the muffler, i got the same. IMO yelp a muffler shop and offer 30 in labor to chop and weld it in.

Yep, you sure can. I used to use these a lot...Stainless Steel Lap Band Exhaust Clamps

I've got two of these pieces of crap I'll give to you for free if you pay for the shipping. A $5 flat rate box from USPS will cover it. Get a coupler and some clamps, just not a band clamp. Band clamps are notorious for leaking and not make a good seal. Not to mention, if you do any off roading they tend to not be the sturdiest and will begin to separate.

Wow, so much hate for the band clamps ! Granted, they are not the ideal solution, but they do work. Like everything else, there are cheap versions of them to avoid. Don't even think about tightening these by hand either. You really need to torque them down with an impact gun (a real impact too, not a cheap one.) I used them on commercial trucks (4", 5" pipe) and they always worked fine. YRMV.
