Dude, this is the off topic section.

Instead of whining that you don't want to read about it, don't read about it. Not too overly complicated.

What a completely cliche rebuttal for a online forum. What do they call people like you? Oh yeah, internet tough guys. Of course everyone knows what off topic means. However, since I'm on this board on a regular basis, I search "Today's Posts" which means this stupid thread always pops up. It is just frustrating to see this thread come up every time because I know it is basically people of opposite opinions arguing about absolutely nothing since no one knows the real truth.
If you want to be one of those "cause heads" that jumps on the band wagon every time the media tells you something "horrible" has happened, be my guest, but I'd prefer not to see it here. This board is better than that. Obviously this is my personal preference, and I can't do anything about your continuous posting in this thread. But, if you haven't made your point and "gotten to the bottom of the issue" in 18 pages what good does it to to keep yammering on about your opinion. Let it go and move on to the next catastrophe that you're sooooo invested in, until the media no longer deems it popular enough to talk about.
For the record, I have not given this issue any more thought than my posts in this thread. I (personally) don't care what happened and couldn't care less of the outcome.

Slow down there free thinker. Many in this thread, including those that'd rather attack you personally when they have no real comeback, believe vehemently otherwise. From the beginning, the media tampered and withheld info, but staunchly stirred the pot in this case. There are some illeducated here that aren't concerned with those other crimes no matter how similar or serious and are masking the lack of outrage with an effort to focus on the nuances of this one.

I predict further attacks on your character or intellect. It's a no win scenario.

Oh, Newt! I love that you are now taking the high road, since you have ran out of anything to add other than to agree everyone else on this thread! Basically troll status at this point, same as Newt.

Going along with the same Newtonian arguments, anyone who doesn't agree with you is "ill-educated".

Why are you so closed minded?

I am sure this isn't a personal attack, Newt. What you should do is once again go with the morale high ground and claim that I am calling you a hypocrite, making me the immoral one.

Something is making me think that you maybe Newt. Idiotic arguments about the mainstream media being the worlds downfall. Taking the morale high ground.

Best of luck to your campaign!

Calm down. It is going to be OK.

So your rebuttal is that my rebuttal is terrible and I am internet tough guy? Thanks for coming from behind and really getting your point across. A+ job!

That's my point. All libral media. In the meantime your president has signed two bills that are taking you're rights and liberties away. With no media coverage what so ever. This is a distraction from the real things that the media has hyped up with the help of Jesse Jackson, Obama and His buddies at CNN to divide races even farther apart. If this kid were a white boy we would have never heard a word about it. What about the murders every night in the city's across the nation that we never hear about. This is what media does. Distraction to get the people hyped up and divided. Sad really

Your argument makes no sense. It is cute that you decided to jump on the RIG bandwagon. Once again, in this thread we are talking about ONE murder. Not all the murders happening all across the US everyday. I can start a thread titled "All Crime In US" in which you can discuss your outrage for every single crime that has been committed in the US.

Having to explain this is getting tiring. The majority of the people in the other cases that you are exemplifying receive justice for their death. Either in the form of an arrest or a real investigation. We have been through that probably 10 times now.

I'm perfectly calm and made rational points that you didn't bother to address. I guess it's easier for you to distract people from your in-ability to comment on the points. You'd rather just "take the high ground" as you like to put it and paint me as irrational. Which, to me, is the internet equivalent of when a 5 year old says, "I know what you are buy what am I." I'm all for a good debate, as long as it involves rational thought that is relevant to the issue at hand.
However, it seems to me that you're interest here is to prove to people that you are right. Or, more accurately, that others are stupid for having a difference of opinion. In this specific instance we are at an impasse since you apparently don't want to address the points I've made or agree to disagree. And, since I'm not interested in fueling your superiority complex, I will bow out of this thread because it has basically reverted to monkeys hurling their poop at each other.
Adieu

You just bumped it to the top.

Gulp.

So Gay

You've got me figured out......

have we had the one dude who pops in and says "lol @ this thread" yet? he always shows up makes one post like that then leaves...have we got to that point yet?

that said, drift wood, just go hang in the 5th gen section or -offtopic in your search string, not commenting on your points, just saying if you don't want to see this drivel and only want to talk about cars there's ways you can do that.trying to help.

lol "newt this and newt that comments" funny.....

was that pie chart meant to lend creditability to fox news in some way?
i feel like i can never trust any graph that says fox news is actually doing something right after the years of propaganda they've been shoving down everyone's throats, not saying CNN or the others are any better, well actually i am, but just not much better........
Viewers Continue To Flee Fox News as Ratings Drop for a Second Straight Year
"The biggest dilemma facing Fox News is a problem that they created for themselves. After years of moving to the hard right and making inflammatory rhetoric a staple of their programming, Roger Ailes is trying to move the network back to the middle. The problem is that the core part of the network’s audience still resides on the far right. To put this in political terms, Fox News wants to be Mitt Romney, but their audience craves Rick Santorum.

The far right audience may not react well to the new moderate Fox News. In fact, the door may be opening for a bit of competition for the conservative viewership. The same battle that is playing out for control of the Republican Party among the far right and the party establishment could replicate itself on the cable news landscape. "

and this is really the problem with capitalist news media all together, "NEWS" agencies should report the news in an unbiased way or at least present both views with out rhetoric and bickering, but that's no how it happens, rhetoric and bickering gets ratings and tv station owners want ratings, so putting inflammatory people on the air spewing rhetoric is good for profits but bad for our nations mental health, why do think everyone is so radicalized all of the sudden? it's this media constantly jumping up and down screaming in our faces that the end of the world is coming on every front, tryvon martian is going to cause another civil war, iran is going nuclear in 5 hours we're all going to die, every little storm that happens is the biggest of the century, ect ect ect ect, it's all bull**** and really screwing with america's cohesion as a whole, check this out
large.png

the standings on the issues are closer then ever but yet the rhetoric and feeling of politics is further apart then ever, either that or the politicians have all solidified together and are now thoroughly ****ing the public in unison, i can't decide...

anyways, this whole issue has now become part of a larger problem in America to me and is a quagmire due to nothing more then someone not giving the facts out as needed or the facts being skewed for political gain, if this was presented to the public as it happened in it's entirety i don't think we'd be as split over this ....

side note, best poll thread since COB's 4ROM thread....lol

eh, that's not really a surprise. That DA, prosecutor or whoever is handling the case doesn't really present cases to a grand jury in the first place. The incident can still go either way, Zimmerman just now has his fate in one person's hands instead of random persons on a jury. Whether or not that's a good thing, I don't know.

yeah my thoughts as well man, i refrained from opening my big mouth and just posted the link as it just came in ;-)

What is going on with Zimmerman?

Either way, IF the website is real, it is pretty bad that he posted the pictures of the graffiti on his website. I get his cause, but I don't know why he would want people breaking the law to be part of it.

And yes, I oppose the bounties that the Black Panthers put on him. Always have and always will.

On a New Web Site, 'The Real George Zimmerman' Speaks, and Solicits Funds - NYTimes.com

It looks like he has taken it down now (the OSU graffiti).

Not sure what is going on with his lawyers, that wasn't really clear. However, what is clear is that they were attention grabbers in the first place. Seems like he realized (potentially) that there were incompetent and let them go, they wanted 3 more minutes of TV time.

http://news.yahoo.com/prosecutor-pl...eam-calls-200512016--abc-news-topstories.html

Either way, one thing we can conclude is that they are not going to charge him with murder one. Which is obvious, it wasn't premeditated beyond when he started chasing him down.
