so ...I am comparatively an old single fart....67.
I moved from the back woods where I lived, worked and spent almost all my off hours hitting old back roads fishing hunting rafting exploring central Oregon ( McKenzie bridge and sisters area) to move to Alaska last year where my youngest son and family live. We have been doing lots of hunting and fishing....my oldest son has a charter boat in seward...about 6 hour drive from me. I have worked outside with my hands all my life it seems So lately after a true adventure last fall that would make my oreogn trips seem mellow.. I have been loading up on all kinds of recovery gear and a winch and about to order an ARB bumper... ( was gong to do a hidden winch behind a stock bumper..but have come near hitting moose several times) as roads I have already hit are more remote than oregon and i travel alone..my shocks are shot so thought well why not do a mild lift....when I was told ....dad ...are you nuts...your too old for this.
so...am I being an old senile fart and being stupid...I dont think so...but its what is being hinted at me.
most of you are young guns are ready to play for many years
should i just bag it and stick to well maintained boring roads and fish walk in spots ?
ok...got to add...well a cbi dual swing out rear would be next and i am working on getting my ham radio license
looking for confirmation either way...
