And the winner is..... Zero Point Calibration.
I could have done it myself and saved $80
bummer man. Thanks for updating the thread though. This will definitely help someone down the road.

I've lifted mine 3" at least in the front and about the same in the rear and I'm now running 295's and have never had to do a zero point calibration [/QUO
This doesn't have to do with the lift. It has to do with me knocking the wheel so hard it threw it way out of alignment and apparently the steering wheel went enough off center to make the electronics freak out and require the zero point calibration
Lame. :moon:
I’ll buy you a beer if we ever connect or hit the trail together to help offset this cost. :clap2:
LOL, I'll take you up on that. Looks like we're not to far from each other. I'm in Centennial at Quebec and Orchard.

i had to do it when i was on OE suspension with 265/70 Duratracs... again when i lifted and upped to 285/70... and again when i adjusted the COs.I had the same issue when I cranked up the coil overs and the steering wheel was crooked. The lights came on as I was leaving the house to get an alignment. Was worried that I pulled the abs wire because everyone jumps on that first. Found about the Zero Point Cal and it made sense. Did it with two
paper clips on the side of the road. 5 min tops. I wish I could have caught ya two days earlier....
there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason why some have to and some don't.I've lifted mine 3" at least in the front and about the same in the rear and I'm now running 295's and have never had to do a zero point calibration

Thanks for this. In the past I've torn and ABS wore and replaced it. This time around the ABS wire wasn't flashing so that's good. I just installed new lower control arms and my alignment is off. As I was making a hard right backing up down my driveway, traction control kicked in and the traction control light is solid orange and the multi terrain light is flashing.
I'll try to do a zero point calibration tonight and see where this gets me.
A few years late but I have a procedure if needed.
I had my tires changed and alignment done, they had two men working on it going different directions. I had the same alarm codes and ran around in circles for a couple weeks.
It ended up being my zero point calibration was off. Toyota had set once a few years past but still had wild codes occasionally.
There is a zero point calibration procedure for the Trail with all the bells and whistle's. It only takes five minutes longer. I wrote a procedure for both.
If any of y'all need it drop me a line and I'll shoot it over. Probably PDF to keep from having language difficulties, OS, operating systems.

Attached is a PDF.
Sorry for being so late in replying.
Since I did this the last time, there have been no issues or brake suddenly on as CPU thinks I am having troubles.
What was the cause? I have a 2019 that I just lifted and have the lights on my dash. I'm trying to understand where to start to fix
