Mxp Airaid Intake

I have a 2016 t4r sr5 with a borla cat back exhaust and looking to pair it with a cai. I was looking at the Mxp airaid intake or a trd cai. The trd cai are nice but the airaid cost less. Anyone has a airaid on there t4r? If so, how do you like it? I'm assuming the airaid would be slightly louder then the trd cai as well.

Thanks

PLenty of threads coving this but to save u time get the one u like the look of lol they all pretty much even. Some will also argue the stock intake is also even since its already considered a cold air intake

Are you buying it for sound?

Stock intake is cold air.

I think there were some posts showing how if you purchase all of the pieces of the TRD intake, it's cheaper (comes out to mid 200s?) than buying the entire thing.

I'm curious how much different the TRD bottom airbox is than the original.

Well..it seems like it enhances the sound more then performance. I will probably be buying one for more sound.

Drop a K&N panel filter in and ride. I wanted one initially but read enough to see a few posts from people that regretted doing a CAI mod and one member even removed it citing low end torque loss. IMO very few will admit it when a mod was a mistake. Look at the experience and advice above, save your money.
