Very nice truck man! That's my secret love right there... about the only other vehicle I would EVER trade my Mean Green for... lol! (that's saying alot... I've had her since 2004! :D)

Thanks! I was not too keen on the black, but boy has it grown. I have white, burgundy, and silver vehicles before. Black by far takes the cake! Hood scoop certainly helped on the lure of the purchase of well. Thanks for stopping by.
 
Great find, bray. I'm just up north in PDX and have been pouring over Craigslist looking for a similar '99-'00 Highlander. May I ask how much you paid for it? Seems like the market prices for Runners around here are hit or miss.

Seriously though, beautiful rig, with a ton of miles left to go! I hope I someday find one half as nice as yours.

On a side note, those are some amazing pics of Autzen stadium you took! GO DUCKS!!!!!!

Truck does look really good in black but its a mother to keep clean , I have a black truck as a DD .

Indeed it is. I like that though, because it sure does pop after being clean... more so than the white, metallic grey, and burgundy vehicles I had prior.

Without a doubt, I can breathe a little sigh of relief when it comes to the pink milkshake.

I now have the lingering LBJ failure on my mind, so that'll be the next thing that gets tackled.
 
Clean runner man, looks great. I've got a 99 sport black highlander and that look will never grow old. Was just wondering if you got any updates on mpg since your maintainence.

Thanks! I really love the look of these things, as well as the on-road performance... it really suits me needs and i'm sure glad I own one.

MPG wise, i've been pushing about 18.1 MPG out of a tank. I still have yet to take care of my second round of maintenance, which could potentially bring up the MPGs even more (fuel filter, air filter, and PCV valve).

Well good for you! Looks like the O2 sensors, plugs and wires made a big difference.

Thank you! Certainly those components have made their impact on my fuel mileage situation. I'm sure I could gain a small amount if I dropped down to a C rated tire, but i'll stick to my 10-ply E rated HD tires :).
 
4Runner has been sold. I simply got an offer I couldn't refuse... everything is for sale for the right price. I'll be back in a Toyota in due time, but it'll be the likes of a Tundra/Tacoma. Thanks for the all the help and knowledge peeps! I am forever a Toyota fan.

Unfortunately it did not. It was a great base to build off of, but school coupled with work would not allow me to truly enjoy this vehicle for the next two years. It went to a good home in Medford, OR. where someone will use it for its intended purpose.
