Awesomely clean truck and nearly looks new and not with the stated 177k on the odo. Your MPGs unfortunatly are pretty close to what most get with around town and minimal hwy driving. I've got 176,700 on mine and with the slightly larger tires but otherwise stock I'm seeing 15-17 with mostly city driving and my mom with her bone stock '99 Limited is only getting 2 more MPGs around town.

Can't wait to see some more pics.

Thank you. It does not feel anywhere near 177K. For comparison, my Jeep XJ had 112K miles and this vehicle complete blows it out of the water. Interesting, well it's just something I will have to cope with. I knew what I was getting into, so no biggie. These 4Runners are awesome vehicles!

New Spark Plugs (Denso), Wires (NGK), and both o2 sensors (Denso) replaced today. In these coming months the B&M Transmission cooler will be installed, as well as new Fuel Filter and PCV Valve. Big thanks to NW4Runner!

Fingers crossed. No biggie if not, it's also beneficial to start a baseline for what maintenance has been done. Throttle Body and MAF were also thoroughly cleaned!

I've been wondering about my speedometer, whether it is working or not. So today, GPS'd the drive on the interstate. I cruised up to 65MPH, and periodically checked my MPH via GPS and it stated 64MPH, even flickering to 65 once in a while. Not bad, probably as accurate as it's going to get. As long as it wasn't 5%-10% off, there will be no problem. I wanted to verify, just to see if the MPG that I am logging is in the truest form, with no +/- mileage coming from the tripometer. That's all I've got today!

Nearing one month of ownership, so I thought I would share some thoughts.

I am beyond pleased when I find myself behind the wheel of my 4Runner. The ride is a significant improvement from my previous vehicle. The interior is much more spacious and has plentiful nooks'-and-crannies' storage and cool compartments. Cab noise... what cab noise? I'm able now to not have to blast the stereo to drown out road noise. My previous vehicle had 2" and was only able to comfortably fit 30x9.5 tires. My 4Runner comfortably fits LT265/75s (Approx. 32s) with stock suspension. I must add that I am really enjoying these Toyo Open Country AT2s. I had originally planned on selling them, in favor of a pair of Duratracs or KM2s, but that is seeming more doubtful each and every day. I made the switch from a Jeep to a Toyota wanting the superior build quality... I think I made the right decision! I can honestly say, as well as feel, the satisfaction this vehicle drives into me every time I put the key in the ignition. I am really enjoying owning a Toyota vehicle.

I've come up with an idea of what direction i'll be headed in the future:

I have yet to go through a full tank of gas since the tune-up. What I can say though, once the Tune-Up was performed, which was at half-a-tank, I gained 1MPG when filling up yesterday. My average has been about 16MPG, and yesterday I recorded 17MPG. This upcoming tank of gas will provide a true number on the impact of the Tune-Up. Stay tuned!

I have confirmed speed, via GPS, and my Speedo is about spot on. It flickers from 64-65MPH on my GPS, while tac holds steady at 65. Thanks for the tip though, and I will continue to monitor it.

Thank you. I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS 7D. This was my first DSLR, and has been a joy. I was shooting for a T3i or 60D when on the hunt, being that it would be my first DSLR, but I found a great deal on this 7D. I am very satisfied with this piece of equipment. Thanks for the heads up. I've seen there sliders in person, and for the price, it's hard to beat. I really dig Savage Sliders though!

Partook in some interior cleaning yesterday. I have not really had the chance to go through all the motions inside the interior of the Runner. It's neat to have split-folding seats, as well as ginormous (for me) interior for me. I was able to fold the back seat and lay down and not touch my head, nor my feet against either end. Granted, I am somewhat short, but it'll work for me!

Sweet ride. I have a brother but now I have a twin also. Got mine march 1 and really loving it. Getting around 18.5mpg with mix of town and interstate driving. Mine is also 4x4 with locker.

I really have not even had the chance to fill up the Runner to get a true MPG. I've only filled it full 3 times since purchase, as I opt to drive the girlfriends Accord in town. I'll have a slew of misc. items parts coming in the near future, but I just blew the majority of my FUNds on a new SkimSurf board for when I'm behind the WakeSetter:banana:.

Should be done next week and see what my mpg's are then.

Nice! Thanks for the link. It's also worth it to try and get this easy, free mods done. After all, it's not like it's costing any money to do them. I'm not sure why I'm so concerned about MPGs, hell, it is a 4x4 4Runner after all. I guess more than anything, I like to look at it is a game and see just how much of a improvement I can make with my driving habits.

Really glad Toyo stepped up their sidewall on the AT2's! I have had 2 sets of AT's and LOVE them. I will, however, be getting 285 70 Duratracs when I lift.

Do you live off of Chemawa? Noticed the exit sign. I get out of the Army next year and will be moving down there to go to school.

A bunch of my family lives in the Keizer area, mostly out in McNary Estates, and a couple out off of Clearlake. I plan to move out South to get a BIT of distance from the fam, but still be close. Would be cool to have a local 4Runner buddy, since I'll be moving away from all the great dudes up here.

Aside from UofO, Eugene is abysmal at best. I'm looking forward to getting back to the SalKeiz area in the coming years, as I think it's the best central location to live in Oregon. Mountains in 45 minutes, Beach in an hour, PDX in an hour, Mt. Hood in a hour an half, Bend in an hour half, etc. WOU is a solid choice! If you want to get done quick, you might want to check out Warner-Pacific. They have accelerated programs, in class once a week, and done in 18 months for BA. I'm looking at this as my next potential route as I finish up my AA.

I love South Salem. I graduated from Sprague in '10, and have plans to make that part of the city my home in the coming years. Best of luck on your search and we'll have link up once/if you move in that general area.
