The Bug Shield is made by a company called Form Fit. I actually purchased it off another member of our forum in the New England Region. He got it from Carson Toyota out in California. I think it runs about $90. It's the Canadian version.

How much was the K&N Intake and did it make a difference?

for $288.00 it did make a difference in my end, first it gives you a nice sport drune sound (bit loud), second an extra 10hp @ 4,000rpm, third it gives you a lot of free space in your engine, so it makes me easier to clean my engine, i'll try to take a picture of it and post it..

They look really good dawg!did you get the chrome or GM cause they look chrome in the picture.

I got the gun metal. You have to really look at them close to tell they aren't chrome... the chrome is even brighter.

I like it! From different angles it looks chrome or gun metal and it does match the GG. :yesyes:

BIG IMPROVEMENT! That comparison shot does a good job at highlighting how much better they look than the stock. You were right to choose the GM with your GG. The gunmetal looks insanely good with the SURF bumper piece. But, based on your pics I am totally glad I got the black for my black 4runner. I remember you saying a long time ago that I could put more chrome on my black 4runner than you could with your grey 4runner.......but based on these tails we might have to rethink that theory. Looks very cool. What are your thoughts on the gunmetal?

I think it's a huge improvement over stock. It's going to take a little getting used to but I'm quite happy with my choice. I think they could have made the Gun Metal darker to avoid the chrome look but it suits my GG well. I can only imagine how bright the chrome must be. Overall... I really like them and I don't think the black would have looked as good on my GG.

I was a little fearful that they looked "ricey" but I think they're prefect for my truck.
