Greetings Members from SoCal I'm new to this forum & I'm having some issues hopefully you guys can help...

I have a 1988 Toyota 4runner SR5 22RE & like the tittle said my clutch won't engage... a lil history this truck was once an automatic & I converted it to a 5 speed transmission my choice of transmission was a G52 transmission reason why I'm heading on the rock crawling theme & so I heard a G52 transmission was a great transmission bcuz you have a top shift transfer case & I'm plannig on doing a dual T-cases in the future correct me if I'm wrong but a top but this transmission is a top shift correct.?? Well back to my problem so my conversion was complete took the transmission & T-case to get rebuild purchased a new clutch & new pressure plate & new throw out bearing took the fly wheel to get re surfaced bought new slave cylinder & master clutch cylinder after running the truck for about 2weeks my clutch won't engage... the truck will be turned on & I can shift thru all the gears with out engaging the clutch & if I were to engage the clutch the truck won't move while being it gear.. the truck will began moving only if I were to hold the clutch pedal like a break pedal i would have to hold the clutch all the way in with out letting go so the truck will move... so I went back & bleed the clutch line sure enough minor air was in the lines after this matter the truck worked fine for about 1 week when yet again same issue so this time I replaced the entire clutch & pressure plate then again worked for another 2 weeks but now my clutch pedal gets stuck it won't POP out officiant... went back & replaced slave cylinder & master clutch cylinder & problem still the same clutch pedal gets stuck... it feels as in when I engage the clutch the throw out bearing pushes the pressure plate but as I release the clutch pedal it feels as in the pressure plate is getting stuck & won't pop out.. should i go back & yet again replace the clutch & pressure plate.?? any advice will help thanks for viewing

I'm not sure I understand everything you're saying, that giant textblock of death is hard to read. Paragraphs are your friend.

Anywho....

If you've already explored the options of the hydraulic system (both cylinders and bleed), then the problem is inside. Chances are you have some broken fingers or a bad fork. It sounds like your going to have to drop the transmission and have a look inside.

Good luck!

Ohhh my god I didn't realize how lousy that sounds your right it does sound like blah blah blah lol I apologies...

Well hate to drop my transmission again for the 3rd time but at this point its stressful to me that I can't get it running properly... should I replace the fork.? & I'm a lil slow these days I apologies but the fingers are located on the pressure plate correct.?

It sounds like what i went through on my 80 pickup. It turned out to be a bent clutch fork. Thats the one that the throwout bearing clips to.

No, that's not correct. The G52 uses a forward shift t-case.
But that doesn't mean you can't do dual t-cases later, you just have to get a top shift t-case for the second t-case.

I wouldn't replace anything else until you figure out what the actual problem is. It may be an installation problem.

Thanks.!! I currently have a 2nd T-case Top shift with Trail-Gear 4.7 gears & the Trail-Geardual cases adapter sitting on my garage waiting for it to get installed...

& I spent almost all day yesterday trying to figute out the problem seems to me that the pressure plate isn't popping out when I engage the clutch... slave cylinder when the slave cylinder is out meaning when I push the clutch pedal in the slave cylinder pops out as usual but as the slave goes back in place their is play between the fork & the actual cylinder as in if it gets stuck then slowly the fork will pop out & goes back in place to meet the slave piston

try bleeding one more time my truck did the same and just had air in the lines we got it to bleed through and kept doing that for about 20 mins and it finaly works so try that
