My 4Runner met a early death...

Well I went to look at it today. Man was it so sad to see. Grab a few things. Then they asked me what the plan was. said I was unsure and he said watch this...
Fired up and ran perfect. Yes the radiator is broken but he just moved it to get on the tow better. No rattle. No warning sign. Nothing. The engine is in the perfect spot. No doubt the front right will need major work.
My jaw has just dropped that at a 45-55 mph hit this is all the damage. Needless to say I am shopping for a front bumper. I would do shrock but due to their wait I suppose I will do arb

Glad no one was hurt. I can attest to 4Runner's being safe vehicles. Flipped my 2001 Sport Edition when I was run off the road by a texting driver. No doubt in my mind that the 4Runner saved my life. That's why I bought a 4th Gen as a replacement

Glad know one was hurt. These things are amazing. Wife was rear ended by F150 hauling a trailer. Totaled the Ford, $3k damage to the runner but mainly cosmetic hatch and bumper.
Drive a Jeep first. You will go back to Toyota. A few of my camping buddies bought new ones, 2 and 4 doors. Even with upgrades they can't keep up with 4 Runners or Tacomas. New motors are crap. Have not been the same since the inline 4.0 disappeared.

Good friend bought a Jeep 4 door top of the line. The roof leaked, in cab noise was terrible on the highway, and the back seat passengers got car sick because the thing wobbled all over the road. Kept it for 6 months and bought a 15 T4R Pro. He has owned T4R before and he says it the best thing he's owned.
Looks like your truck is fixable but there are a lot of good 4th gens out there too!

So starting the process of having a friends shop take care of this for me. I guess this gives me a excuse to upgrade some parts. I am upgrading the hood to a scoop hood. Putting a ARB bumper up front (went with this do to no wait) and I am going to add steering wheel controls for audio.
My question is this, i have searched but I seem to get both answers SO, my airbag deployed. I have ordered a wheel with audio controls. Airbag from a wheel with audio controls (mind you all ebay from salvage yards). This should be plug and play right? If I understand right, I didn't have the audio controls before, but the wire should be there anyway? Had them on my 06 and I really miss the controls. I wish I could look myself, but its at my buddies shop and I just need to tell him what to do then.

In terms of electronics, you may need to replace the air bag sensors if they got damaged and get the air bag module reset or replaced, otherwise the system won't function.

Have you looked at Addicted Off Road? They now make a 4th gen plate/tube hybrid bumper that IMO looks pretty good. Scotty is a great guy to deal with, he made the bumper on my '99.
Best of all, he's located in Greeley so no hideous shipping fee. Just drive up there and pick it up.
