Great, thanks for the mature response. I was hoping to get some useful info on this before I just do it. But looks like I'm just going to do it anyways.

I googled "steering rack bushing install-t4r" and came up with a bunch of results. ACTUALLY, the first link has another link to replacing the bushings.


It was a perfect response. Use the search function, or Google.
 
It's all done now. Just decided to get under there and see what we were working with. It was a cake walk, I didn't need a torch or any of that. Fresh grease and bushings now its time to weld on the spindle gussets, and coil bucket gussets. Thanks!
 
Is it true that my 97 4runner will accept 96-04 Tacoma lift kits? I'm trying to build a prerunner style 3rd gen. I want to know if I can use the camburg heim steering upgrade for the Toyota. Looking to make a upgrade on my kit just need some ideas to brain storm with. I have been searching for info but I have gotten mixed answers. A little advice?
