My 4Runner's New Sibling

Here are some pictures of my parents new 2005 4Runner Limited V8 4X4 in Pacific Blue. This is one great looking truck in my opinion! It also drives great and you feel the horsepower/torque upgrade! I also took some pictures of it near my 2003 Sport to show the differences between 2003 and 2005. Here is the back of it:

Here is one of the side. Note the black roof racks and the black running boards on the Limited's now. Also, Toyota now places stickers where the crossbars should be positioned for the least wind noise. If anybody is interested, I could post a picture of where they should be.

Here is an interior pictures. For 2005, there is now a new airbag system. If the passenger seated in the front is less than 80 lbs or there is no passenger seated, the airbag will not deploy. I was sitting there so the airbag was on!! :p

Here is a comparison of the 2003 vs the 2005 spoiler. It gives a good perspective of the difference in shape.

One is good, two is even better !!!

Man,.,... That truck has everything! And they both look great standing on one driveway.... ;):
These pictures make me imagine how would 2 4runners look on my driveway.....:D

But I have to say I don't like those bumpers without silver accents....

I am hoping soon! Other 4Runner's have to recognize them on the the road! I have to see if the parents are interested and then what color!

Don't be too jealous of your parents new 4Runner... I like yours better!

The Sport just look meaner with the hood scoop. I like the wheel design better too.... plus those new spoilers look kinda strange with the hump on them.

I agree that Toyota should have continued with the silver accents on the bumpers.

Doesn't your 4Runner have indicator marks for the crossbars? My '04 does....

Mine doesn't have those markers. I guess Toyota didn't put them on the 03's or somebody peeled mine off. I like my 4Runner a lot, even more since so than when I got it!! I wouldn't give mine up for anything. The sport's definitely look meaner, but once you get inside a Limited, it is a different story.

EDIT:

Sorry, I meant to send you a PM instead of typing that all here.

I copy/pasted it to PM instead.

Mine just has small, black dots to indicate where the crossbars should be to minimize wind noise. I'm not sure if they even peel off... they might be painted on...

Hitman, I will PM you back with the answer. I just have to run down and check it out.

Noloc, here is the picture:

Mark.. would it be too much to ask you to take some measurements and provide me with approximate locations for the bars?

I still can't get over how good it looks, and all those neat features!!! Beautiful!

On my '03, there are two silver dots (I have a black roof rack) on each side to tell you where to place the crossbars, it's on the inside of the two fixed rails.

just looked on my 03.. i saw the white dots on the inner rails.. i positioned the cross bar so that the dot is in the middle.. is this correct?

thanks
vinnie

Vinnie, that is correct.

Measuring from the top (the beginning of the actual roofrail from the rear), it is 5 7/8 inches and 33 inches.
