Well...we've just returned from our week long adventure out in Colorado and Utah. 2700 miles driven, some amazing views and great people made this trip epic! I figured I would share some photos and stories from our trip.
First up was crossing a continental divide during a storm. It was around 38 degrees and WET. We still found time to enjoy the views.
Driving down the pass, we found our way to Keystone to explore. We jumped on a trail and found our way to some great sights on Peru Creek.
The next day we headed south to get some breakfast and explore Breckenridge. Great town and good food! After that, we kept heading south to get to camp and hit some trails. We found our way onto Marshall Pass. This was a pretty fun trail and one of my favorite camp spots of the week.
The next morning we finished the trail and found a little mound to take a picture on.
Leaving Marshall Pass, we drove to Montrose to visit a friend that moved there. He showed us the area and drank some brews and crashed at his place.
After we left my buddies place in Montrose, we drove to Ouray to check out the town and of course get some brews. I couldn't believe this parking spot was open either!
Leaving Ouray, we jumped onto another trail to do some offroading and find camp.
Waking up to the sound of birds chirping, we loaded up and headed to Telluride. We drove to the far end of town knowing Black Bear Pass was closed, we still wanted to see Bridal Veil Falls.
After checking it out from the parking area, we noticed some jeeps and other rigs driving up the switchbacks backwards. I quickly jumped in my rig and did the same! What a drive! The high and narrow trail was pretty awesome to experience. The views were epic.
Not wanting to leave, we slowly made our way back into the town of Telluride and explored the shops and eat some local food. What an amazing area!
Leaving Telluride, we headed west to Utah.
Temps quickly hit triple digits. It was a HOT one! We explored the town of Moab a bit then quickly headed out of town to hit some trails and find camp. This camp spot off of onion creek was absolutely nuts. So many water crossings!
Yet again, I didn't want to leave camp. Utah is so crazy to experience! We got up early and hit up Arches National Park and did some hiking. Absolutely beautiful. The day quickly got over 100 degrees, so we decided to hit the local pool and stay cool after our busy morning. That afternoon after it cooled below 100, so we hit up another trail and did some offroading and scouted for camp that night.

Leaving early the next morning we headed east to go back home. This is one trip I'll never forget, and one trip I'll be making many many more times in the future!
