My $5 mod in 5 mins.

I installed it in my 2019 ORP, and it doesn’t do a single thing. No changes at all? Any settings to change or play with?

Yeah you have to leave the dimmer on the highest setting before it "clicks" into super bright setting. It adjusts the dimming automatically when your lights are on. You can test it by turning your lights on and taking your hand on and off the sensor.

Make sure your lighting control dial isn’t turned all the way to max, I suppose that would make it seem like it didn’t do anything

to test it, do what others have mentioned with the dimmer switch set before the highest setting (before it clicks, otherwise your cluster will stay at the highest setting). turn on your headlights (or at least to the parking light setting) while sitting in your garage, and test it using a flashlight.

When it senses light from your flashlight, your cluster should go to the highest setting u set, and when you cover the sensor with your hand, it should dim down.

2020 TRD Off Road Premium. This mod does NOT work. The wiring harness in the 2020 is attached to a blank which easily pops out, but the connector is a 4 pin connector. The sensor that I received has 6 pins.

After popping out the blank, already visually different from photos posted in this thread.

Oh well not much wasted on a $5 part. Everything snapped back in quicker than it came out.

Good to know! I wonder if we just need the part number that’s on the 2020 Limited for this to work?

Looks like you bought the wrong sensor
