Hey man can you get me a price on blue carpet for my first gen. It needs it bad. You do interior work right?

Yes i do, there's 2 ways to go. There's an ozite carpet ( stretchable trunk liner ) for lack of better words. It works good as hull liners in boats, trunk liners and package trays in cars, fairly cheap at $10-12 a yard, my cost. You could do the whole truck less than $50, BUT....
keep in mind it's not a pre molded carpet w/ the heel pad and the padding already attached to the factory replacement.
Yours is $121.95 for the front and second row seating area, it goes from the up under the brake pedal to under the back seat...~~> here 84-89 Toyota 4Runner Carpet Passenger Area Only 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989
or u could get the entire kit ( includes cargo area ) here 84-89 Toyota 4Runner Carpet Complete Kit 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 for $242.95
add in about $15-20 for shipping ( on the front and 2nd row carpet - more if you get the whole kit ) and you'll have pre molded oem replacement.
I have 4 or 5 blues i had samples sent, to match existing. If you 'add to cart' any of the links , right beside the cut plush pile, click the sample link and pick which samples u think are close to your color ( samples are free ) . Then match up the color and order, if you're not comfortable installing it, just get the carpet and call me when it gets in. I'll help u do it.

Looks great. I plan on my old, stained, and tattered tan carpet for a darker color. You'rs came out great. I have those floor mats too, I got them on black Friday a few years back.

Do you mean the cold start valve on the side of your upper intake? If so they can be a bit pricey

Awesome. I'd probably just go for the $121 one because I'm thinking about lineX ing the cargo area. I'll get up with you when I'm ready to do it and maybe we can meet up and you can see which blue I need. I think under the seats of mine currently is the only place where it's still blue haha. Thanks man.

Led, yes, although in the end, it was only the pigtail not meeting up as it should have in the wiring connection. While trying to do good by my g/f, as it will inevitability be her T4R, i got a new one from rock auto.
So, i got an inspection sticker on it today, all front brakes brand new, pass. side idler arm swapped from the wrecked T4R, like new. I saw a puddle in the inspection bay under the transfer case ( transmission mount area ) and dipped my finger in it to smell and it was gear oil. I drove it back into my friend's shop and examined it, the only thing we could see was a small weep hole on the driver's side of the transfer case, everything seemed to be clean underneath the weep hole....and the trans. mount was drenched in gear oil, as was the gas tank shroud, the muffler and cat ( smokin ).
The transfer case oil was still full. The motor oil was still full. My friend ran a small screw w/ silicone on it into the weep hole, and i parked it till tomorrow. No idea what's causing it....hoping to find some info tonight online.

That's an Auto V6 right? There shouldn't be gear oil in the transfer case. I just went through this with mine as my trans is out of a 2nd gen and the transfer case should only have ATF fluid in it. I guess being that it's pumped through a cooler then it needs to be thinner. If its gear oil on the floor make sure its not coming from your diff and running down. If someone has put gear oil in the chain case I'd change it out with ATF. That wont fix your leak though, still will have to find where that's coming from.

Got the new pads on, swapped an idler arm from the wrecked runner ( like new ). I watched a puddle form while it was being inspected, ( single bay shop ) i smeared my finger in it and it smells like gear oil. Drove it back and went under it, muffler, cat, gas tank cage, all covered in gear oil. I'll probably attempt to replace the transfer case rear output seal tomorrow, after watching a video on it. Truck running solid, rides great, quiet for the big tires on it, just gotta pan this fluid leak down.
I thought the transfer case was supposed to have gear oil ? Yes it's an auto trans.
I'll post more as i find out wassup !!
Edit: i'll drain the gear oil and replace w/ atf, the 4runner came with 3 or 4 jugs of it hmmmm.....drive it around and check it again for leaks, before i go replacing anything.

Thank you !! I was telling the guy that inspected it how it used to be a hunting truck w/ deer stickers and pine needles and busted clay pigeons everywhere.
I'm hoping the worst case scenario is a seal on the transfer case, i do have a perfectly good spare auto trans. and all other running gear on the wrecked one......just wanna have all the bugs worked out before giving it to the Ms.
I found out in yesterday's runnings, the heat will run you the hell outta there.

I managed to get all the gear oil out of the transfer case, topped it off w/ ATF/DEX. Drove it up the road & peaked underneath, all good, came back, put it in 4wd and peaked under again in friend's garage, still good.
Yesterday all the evidence was showing the leak coming from a small weep hole on the driver's side. My friend put some atv sealant on a small screw and closed the weep hole up, he said there's still a vent up top, anyway, it's not leaking anymore, i hope it stays that way.

Drove it today to test for leaks, i saw one drop of atf before i took off, there seems to be a small area of the seam in the transfer case that doesn't have much silicone. Other than that, it did fine. I felt some air seeping thru the back of the sunroof, i opened it and closed it and found you have to push up just a tad on the back at the very end of shutting. Closed right up.

The last Hoorah.....giving this away tomorrow, 13th Anniversary/Valentine's & then some kinda thing. It's been exhausting keeping this from her for 5 months, while not explaining what i've been doing at times while working on it. Gave the hood a valiant effort w/ some rubbing compound, wax & some elbow grease tonight, made it look better but the sun has really done a number on it.
Buffed the truck out, rubbed the running boards & plastic down, freshened up the glass, etc. and some febreeze air freshener. Got the custom buyers guide printed to tape in the window tomorrow when i get to the car lot, instructing her to check out the "scrapbook' in the front seat, which shows pics & all the work from day 1 till now, along w/ two bows to loop on the wipers.
The Toyota emblem i got from the link here on T4R.org looks frikkin great.
She'll have to get herself a stereo and i'll eventually paint the hood for her once the weather is better for that, along with finances.
