Recently my girlfriend and i went on a crosscountry roadtrip from San Francisco to New York and back to San Francisco, 9500 miles, 5 weeks, 26 states, to save money i removed the back seats and build a bed in the back, with storage space underneath, so what do you guys think?

hahaha, it didnt feel that way, maybe because I'm 5'7" and my girl is 5', LOL, maybe it won't work for someone over 6'

Bet those shocks were getting a good workout by rocking back and fourth LOL:girl:
i like it. im gonna be building a bed in mine as well. im 6'2" and i think itll be fine. i think that yours is just a little higher than im gonna do mine, and the curtains aare hanging in some so it looks smaller. but still not bad.
and after another thread i tried it on my third gen today; if you remove the rear seat bottom and fold the back down, then move the fronts all the way forward, remove the headrests, and lean them all the way back, it makes *almost/sorta* one continuous area. asthetically it really opens it up if you are sleeping in there(i have dark tinted windows which helps), and makes it much easier to access the controls and such. also my dogs bed can now go on the front passenger seat without her feeling seperated, or being in the way of opur feet, lol!
bottom line is whatever suites your needs. you just saved a but load money with that bed. very cool.
