My Build "Big Red"

Awesome truck!

Thanks bud. We like her lol. I cant wait to get the new engine in so ican get back out on the trails and do some meet-ups. My goal is to have it back on the road by my b-day at the end of feb so i can go wheeling all weekend for my b-day

Pending a reply from a guy on craigslist i am going to pick up my belhousing adapter motor mounts and a flywheel and pressure plate this weekend for my engine swap

Tell me how you tinted your lights? I absolutely love it!!!!:wow2:

Thanks man. It is actually very easy. First thing i got tired of trying to find some for cheap lol. second a 99 cent can of gloss black spray paint. Yes it sounds odd but my lights work perfect and you can go from barely tinted to black. I just gave about 8-12 inches between the can and lights and just went real slowly. I also did the ones on my wifes volvo wagon before we sold it and i am getting ready to do the ones one my turbo volvo if i can get a sunny day

Sweet, I'll have to try that, thanks again!!

Loked down a new engine yesterday. It's not a 350 :sobbing: but it is a 3.0 with only 150k on it and im only going to be paying about $150 for it. YAY me!!!!

Picked up the engine. It was missing a few parts, but nothing major. I actually have all the missing parts in my extra parts. Im going to buy the full gasket set this week when i get paid and buy the timing set next pay day. Once i have all that the fun begins. Goal is to be back on the road by the end of february for my birthday. Pics will start flowing in soon.

EGR and pair valve delete kit came in on monday. Here's the plates. Just waiting on gaskets and timing set then it time to start the tear down

RIP to the parts truck

Well it was time for it to go. It served its purpose. It made me some money paid some emergency bills when we needed it too and provided much needed parts for my daily. This post is to honor and commemorate my parts truck

This is what she has been reduced too. Her front 2/3 of the frame is going to be used to make a trailer and we are going to save some sections of the roof and floor to save for if we need some sheet metal. The rest will go to making beer cans or what ever the scrap yard does with it. Rest In Pieces

Well its been a while since i have had anything to report. I just got my Volvo running again to where it can be my daily driver again. Now my attention goes to the runner. This weekend out goes the old engine. After that im going to do my body lift and start recoating the frame and repainting the engine compartment and a few cool/funny mods that will be a surprise. pics and updates coming next week

Nice thread I for one liked the neon green it made her different and that glow in the dark lift would have been pretty sweet
Thanks. I wish i have had the time to work on it. My turbo volvo has been sucking me dry. I could have had my runner done if i didnt start on my volvo

Back in action

After life has thrown me many curve balls (wife/long-term girlfriend becoming a drug addict and stealing and sucking up my life energy and money) my 4runner is back in the garage. Its been sitting for about 2 years with a blow engine. Got most of the engine painted this last weekend. Still waiting on buying an alternator fuel injectors some sensors and possibly headers. Here's a couple pics of the "new engine" i will up load pictures later
