My Cat Converter Stolen in Louisville KY

I see that many others here have had their catalytic converter stolen. My daughter has my 2000 and the CC was stolen in apartment parking lot last night. I am not sure what to do or who to have do it but if anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated.

It is a 2000 V6

She is too far away to help in person so I will have to rely on a shop to do the work.

I am hoping to find someone to put a bolt on plate, catclamp or anything to slow thieves down and keep the CC accessible if needed in the future.

Will it hurt anything for her to drive it as is for a couple days??

It won't hurt it to drive like that for a short period. Mine was stolen a few weeks ago. Once you put on an aftermarket cat, it likely won't be stolen again. Toyota cats are more valuable and thieves won't waste time cutting off an aftermarket cat. It cost me $240 for a new aftermarket one. I drove mine to work and back the day it was cut off, (80 miles total) and the exhaust just filled the truck, even with the windows down going 75 mph on the highway. I would suggest getting it fixed quickly.

Try putting on a belly plate like the one from Budbuilt...it protects the cat from damage off road, but at the same time I'll bet it would deter any thief from taking the extra time to get to the cat to steal it...
