Hopefully this will help someone avoid the idiocy I just went through. So my kid's power antenna on her 2000 Limited went south and I replaced it with a fixed unit. After reassembling the dash (the job was not as easy as it should have been due to the retaining clips all along the antenna cable's run through the dash) the clock didn't work and the auto climate control was dim. So, I order new climate control bulbs from Toyota and wait for them to arrive. I thought the clock harness must not have been reattached and when I went in there today to replace the bulbs and fix the clock, sure as shit the clock had no wires running to it. Further, I could not find the harness connector to shove into the back of the clock. I figured it must have fallen into the dash somewhere. Well, I couldn't find it anywhere and ended up taking out the glove box and the glove box "hood" to see where the hell it went. Looking at the back of the dash fascia where the clock, hazard switch, rear glass switch, defrost button and ETC button were, everything but the clock was connected and there were no more harness ends to power the clock. WTF? I couldn't for the life of me figure out where the hell the clock plug went. Well... wait for it... there is a dummy plug right below the clock that is a perfect fit for the clock plug! It must be where the clock plug resides on vehicles with no clock! Live and learn. Doh!
