My “Forever” 4Runner, 02 Stellar Blue Sport

Aux fuse box

In need of a safe way to power some electronics, I opted to do it right. That started with buying the file from [MENTION=7992]Ripcord[/MENTION] for his acrylic fuse panel mount, a spare piece of acrylic and a CNC. I added a BSS 12 circuit fuse box, BSS 100 amp circuit breaker, and a 100 amp relay activated by the ignition circuit.
4 gauge cable feeds battery power to the circuit breaker and fuse box, along with the grounds.

Lotus RCAMS and rear bumpstop ext

More protection added, this time the Lotus RCAM Skids. Came powdercoated, and took 5 minutes to install.







Also wanted to prevent bottoming out the rear shocks until I upgrade to a better setup. Needing something fast and decently priced, I ordered a pair of the Toytec 3" aluminum bumpstop extensions. Install was also fast and easy.

Appalachian Toyota Roundup 2018

Labor Day Weekend....my first ever organized offroad event, and it certainly won't be my last. If you have never attended, I highly recommend this charity event. It is held at Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, just west of Knoxville, TN. The park is over 72,000 acres and has 314 miles of trails, covering everything from a gravel road to guaranteed body damage. This year over 400 rigs and 700 people registered.

I can't recommend this event enough. Such an awesome time, and great opportunity to gain confidence in myself, meet some awesome people. and make a few friends.

Thanks. THE rcams are a nice piece to help prevent hitting the mounts on rocks and bending them.

And the most recent completed mod.....

4XInnovations rear bumper. I can not say enough great things about this bumper and the company. I decided on this one based on 2 reasons:
#1 The receiver is tied into the frame mount and rated a class 3 and 5,000lb trailer weight. I havent' seen any others mention this feature.
#2 The bumper fits the body very well. It doesn't stick out to far on the sides, overall have a bulky look, and the sides don't appear to hang down further than the body.
Another surprise was the bumper arriving about a week and a half after ordering. STUPID FAST!!
The fit.....PERFECT! Again absolutely surprised at how perfectly it fit.

Now to save up for their swingout to add to it.

Do they sell the swingout separately? Does the bumper have pilot holes or some kinda feature to help locate the spindle assy?

They do sell it seperately. The bumper does not have any indicators to locate the spindle, but it should be fairly easy to do so. Their site says the arm will have to be cut down on the latch end, indicating it is shipped longer than necessary.

How challenging was that tire carrier install? I ask this having read the instructions which give no mention of installing the carrier pivot (there is a picture noted as "Figure 3" but no explanation pointing to it) or suggestions for alignment of the whole thing prior to welding. Are your welding skills pretty good?

There is no welding required for this rear bumper...

If you purchase the bumper with swingout from 4XI, there is no welding needed. I did not go that route. I purchased the bumper first, then the swingout kit. The instructions didn't give any info on locating the pivot brackets. I, with help, held the carrier in place and then tack welded the carrier bracket. Checked all my clearances and once I was happy with the location, burned everything in.
