my fuel mile range instrument wont reset

I put some gas in the runner today,

and the "fuel mile range" display on the console about the heat controls etc (where you can switch between average mph, average miles, and miles based on fuel) it wont reset based on the gas i put in the truck.

anyone know what i should do

Mine will usually adjust itself within a few minutes of a fill up or adding fuel to the tank. If it is still under warranty, but I see it is an 03 so chances are it is not, take it in.

You could pull the Negative battery cable for about 30 minutes which should reset the computer. It may take longer, not sure.

Have you ever pulled the radio out of your Runner?? When I change to the Scion radio I had to unplug the connector to the back of the Range/MPG/Avg Speed display. I seem to remember that when I plugged it back in everything was reset. I did not have the Negative battery cable pulled at the time.

It just sounds like a glich. Hopefully a reset works for you.
