All I can tell you is that the 3rd gen 4Runners came from the factory with either of the tires I previously mentioned.
I replaced the crappy Goodyears on mine, after only a couple of days, Due to their inability to be balanced.
I replaced mine with the Michelin LTX M/S tire. A far better tire then the OEM Goodyears, or Bridgestones. The original owner of your 4Runner replaced the OEM tires too, I wouldn't be surprised if it was for the same reason as me.
At any rate, the tires you have are 12 years old. The only driving I'd do on them, is to a tire store to replace them.
Good deal guys...just replaced them today with some Firestones, same size, lifetime alignment (cost was double but i can take it to any Firestone any time for the life of the vehicle at no additional cost for alignment) and an oil change...I ready for my road trip back to Dallas!
yep, but i'll give it another once through tomorrow before i hit the road...
blown away how many people are on this forum, you guys freaking love your 4runners, i'll admit it's wearing off on me! the guys at firestone got some grease on my seats and my driver door cloth insert, i was livid, but i cleaned it with a clean rag and some oxyclean...lol

After this trip you'll be so in love with these that you'll be figuring out how to keep yours running forever. The only thing I'd give up mine for would be a rust free 3rd from down south, or a mint 1984 Runner.

The Firestone lifetime alignment is a good deal, BUT...they have been known not to do the full process every single time. Sometimes they'll just take some quick measurements, and if it's relatively close to where it should be, they won't actually do anything. Maybe it's because they aren't making any more money off of it, or maybe it's just a few lazy stores. Anyway, just ask them to do the full deal whenever you take it in.

just an update...made it home safely...the thing rode like a dream
the crazy part, 2 different times while getting gas on the trip i got comments like 'nice truck'...lol, just a stock 01, but i guess it just looks so mint!
1. now that i'm home i'm going to replace the radiator to be safe (thanks to a thread on this forum)
2. tranny flush
3. spark plugs, wires, all all hoses
4. new antenna, head unit, speakers, amp
5. new center caps
anything else?
