Keep us updated on the black leather. Seeing as my truck is a work truck, I have demo'd the back doors. I would love to redo it all in the coming year after building a rear organizer for all the tools - depending on how difficult it would be.
I do like the carbon though. Never would have thought of it.

Looks good, but it would look a whole lot better in BLUE and black. I like the carbon fiber too, but watch out when you clean that stuff, if you rub it too much with a cloth it will scratch.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I hadn't noticed that you guys had come back to this thread! lol!
Bigfish, I thought about doing the engine cover in blue, but decided I wanted to pay homage to the Dodge Viper.. lol! Always thought a Red Colored engine looked nice in a blue vehicle! lol!
Anyway, on to the new upholstery install!
Well, got it done! Took the better part of the day, but finally finished around 9:45pm (Eastern Time) tonight!
What the carbon fiber looked like after a day....
Roll of vinyl I got for $5.00!
Laying out the old arm rest material to cut the new stuff
Traced it out:
Next step was to clean off the old adhesive off the plastic panels. I used paint thinner and a rag and rubbed it all off. Kinda messy... but I wanted a bare surface to work with.
Next, I used the spray adhesive I got at the upholstery store. The can usually sells for $25.00 a can, but they had one there that was soiled on the outside, so they sold it to me for $10.00!
I sprayed the adhesive on the panel outside, then ran in the house to apply the vinyl. You kinda have to work quickly, and I had my wife help me lay down the vinyle and flatten it onto the panel.
After a couple of hours of dry time, I intalled all the panels back on the door panel, and called it a night!
Pics of the panels installed will be coming.... ran out of daylight, and I'm just going to wait til the morning to put them in the truck.

Never thought that it could be someone's drink.... that's alot of dirt in there though???
BTW, you need to learn your currency a little better buddy... lol! That's a Canadian Penny.... Copper = a penny here too!
Actually, to correct myself a bit... and give you a history lesson... lol! During the 2nd World War, the Canadian Nickel was produced using Copper, in order to preserve the nickel to make ammunition! But that was in the 40's.... a long time ago man! lol!

I have seen the underside of some center consoles with some real funky stuff in them; one of my old roommates in college installed stereos for a local shop for extra $$$ and one center console had a nest of tiny rats in it when he pulled it off. Acura Legend I believe.

Got my LED panel in the mail! So much better than the other one I ordered, and cheaper!
Also, fell upon a used set of Weather Tech floor mats for $135.00! These babies retail for nearly double that!
I'm gonna clean them up a little, but for the price... I couldn't pass those up!

I've been working on getting my Satoshi Grill done! First thing I did was move my Horns to the driver side Inner fender.
I simply disconnected them from the harness, and bolted them there. I then pulled all the attachment out for the harness, and ran it to where the horns were.
After that, I painted out the rad with some black Tremclad.
Then I fabricated some mounts for the Tractor Lights I'm going to be running behind the grill. (Yes I said tractor lights... they were $12.00 a piece, and I've already tested a pair on my 98 4Runner for the past 8 months and they are amazingly bright!)
The plan is to pull the bulbs out of these, and get some HID's for them, along with my Headlights and Fog Lights.
Once that was all done, I got started on the grill itself. First thing I did was get my Dremmel out, cut away all the center section of the grill with a cutting disc.
Here's a shot of the center section after I cut it out:
My buddy came over to have a "mod day", but ended up helping me service the front brakes on my 4Runner and then just watched me do my grill. So, he decided to take some pics of me doing some of the work!
THen I decided to use my brain, and wear safety glasses:
Here's a shot of the grill after I cleaned up all the stubs from the center section.
Next I used some Opoxy and some plastic from the center section to fill in the holes left from the removal of the center section.
Unfortunately, I had to put the project on pause for the night, as I had to get to bed, in order to be up at 4:30am for work the next day.... and with all the extra hours I put in last week... I didn't get to go back to it until yesterday.

I payed $8.00 for a roll twice this size... I've already done Mean Green's grill with this roll.
Cut and fitted, using Zipties to hold it in place:

Possibly a pair of miniature Everlast boxing gloves mounted between the tractor lights?
I knew a trainer who used to hang a old worn pair of gloves once used by Ali from his rear view mirror.
Maybe an older Lancruiser or Hilux letter emblem would work. Keep it going.

Funny you mention the boxing gloves.... I've got a silver set hanging from the rear view mirror of Mean Green! lol!
As for the emblem.... thinking of going with a simple TRD emblem from E-bay... already have it on order.... Might also add the "T" emblem and either black it out, or tint it with Night Shade??

BADGED!
Finally got the badges in the mail! Started out with simple E-bay Chrome "TRD" emblems....
Then I coated them in "Plastidip", base coated in Honda Galaxy Grey, and then cleared them.
Turned out alright.... Total cost... grill material, emblem, and other materials.... = under $20.00
